In prep for tomorrow’s sold-out show opening for the xx at London’s Village Underground, shoegazy Spector-acolytes Trailer Trash Tracys played a short but sweet set at the Sonic Cathedral last night. The band has a terrific 7″ out on No Pain In Pop featuring the irresistibly shimmering, melancholic J&MC pop swirl of “Candy Girl” b/w “You Wish You Were Red,” and have upped that with the starry-eyed “Strangling Good Guys,” a contribution to their label’s recently released compilation. Photographer Andrea DiCenzo delivers these fittingly dim lit pics from the night, and a few MP3s are below:
If you’re in London and shut out of their gig with the xx tomorrow, catch the Tracys next on November 24th at Madam Jo Jos. Hear “You Wish You Were Red” at MySpace.

I was there.
I loved the event.
Thanks
