
Claire Boucher, the young Montreal memory-pop artist who the world has come to know as Grimes, is also one half of a new project called Membrain, which pairs her vocals with music from Cop Car Bonfire mastermind Tim Lafontaine. On Twitter, Grimes said today that the project is “basically a live improv drone techno act – so its really hard 2 get it from recordings.” She also said that the project is mostly Lafontaine’s; she just does the vocals.
