Jack White Releases Helium Balloon, 3RPM Vinyl

As we get closer to the release of Jack White’s debut solo album Blunderbuss, Third Man is rolling out some, err, unique releases for Record Store Day as well as Third Man Record’s third anniversary. Recently, helium balloons affixed to flexidiscs of Blunderbuss album track “Freedom At 21″ were released at Third Man HQ and the label also announced a 3 RPM record — yup, 3 RPM — compiling the label’s Blue Series 7” releases in celebration of their third anniversary. Check out some MST3K-y videos chronicling these releases below, as well as their other Record Store Day offerings, below.

Blunderbuss is out 4/24 on Third Man/Columbia.

  2. “Another negative to living in Alaska, we never get balloons with free stuff over here” – A polar bear

  3. I am really tempted to find a way to Nashville on RSD just for that liquid vinyl. That is some seriously cool shit.

  4. Ben Blackwell of Cass Records and Dirtbombs fame…..
