There’s definitely some ABBA here — which the press release notes, along with ELO — but also something that rings more new age-y and cultish, like fellow Los Angeles SC crew, Bodies Of Water, and not just because of all the air-brushed sci-fi art at their MySpace (though we do love that shit). Fronted by Gala Bell — no relation to Olga — Music Go Music also make like a disco-ready Karen Carpenter on “Light Of Love,” the song spinning on the band’s Secretly Canadian 12″ debut. High schoolers, make sure to request this one at the prom.

“Light of Love” is nice and all, but definitely listen to “Explorers of the Heart” on their MySpace page. It’s ABBA-tastic!

who cares about the same story being posted on pitchfork, i’m much more concerned about the fact that i read this same story on gum, g v. b, and byt and they all say the same fucking thing “sounds like abba and elo” … why not just scan in the press release and post that? save yourselves a little time…

@Finn – The song has actually been out for almost two years now and they’re music video was just released recently. There’s nothing wrong about posting a music video for a great song. It’s much better than 60% of the stuff on the internets.
