When talking about Röyksopp’s forthcoming Junior, we’ve mentioned that the longstanding Norwegian duo’s post-birthday collection includes guest vocal spots from the Scandinavian all-star team of Lykki Li, Anneli Drecker, Karin Dreijer, and Robyn. The collection’s lead track “Happy Up Here” found Svein Berge and Torbjørn Brundtland by their relative lonesome, but the dark enough, dance-floor infectious second single “The Girl And The Robot” makes good on at least one of the names in the above list. Who’s that girl:

I have previewed the album front to back. It does sound like a mix of melody am and the understanding. But I’d say there is more of the latter than the former.

The Royksopp album is *amaaaaaaaazing*
I don’t really see it as falling between Melody AM and The Understanding… it seems to follow the expected trajectory laid out by the first two, and is even more extroverted, energetic, and electro than The Understanding… and it friggin rocks! I think we can expect more downtempo stuff to return on Senior.
Will the gum be doing a Premature Evaluation on this? Would love to know what you guys think!
