The Toronto Death From Above 1979-related electro duo pimped up (and dumbed down) It’s Blitz‘s “Zero.” The resulting generic dance-club thump thump thumper ostensibly goes in a much different direction than what we can expect from Animal Collective’s remix of the same track. But it is interesting to hear a song after the soul’s been removed.

If you want to hear something else than It’s Blitz‘s track list, you’ll have more luck listening to the bonus tracks.

By the way, It’s Blitz! is now out via Interscope

  1. I’m typically not fond of sophomoric two words dismissals, but, that blows.

i hate animal collective. they’re just a bunch of weird sounds

  3. Ugh, not that great. I haven’t heard the animal collective remix yet, but i bet that it isn’t very good either. “Zero,” and the Yeah Yeah Yeahs in general, should not be remixed in my opinion.
