Or at least want you and me and everyone we know to drink really bad beer. A year ago, when I interviewed the Dodos’ about their day jobs, they offered up “Fools” to go along with the discussion. Fittingly — since we’re focusing again on economics — the song also scores their foray into paid advertising, via an ebullient, summery Miller Chill ad. It’s unclear if anyone actually drinks Miller Chill (after all, the song is called “Fools”), but to the agency’s credit, this spot makes the product seem semi-appealing. Until you remember it’s watery 100 calorie Miller Lite with a too-sweet twist of lime.

Here’s the song without the choreographed Millers:

Visiter is out.

Miller Chill isn’t THAT bad. I mean, ideally it’s not my first choice for beer but if its there and offered up, I’ll drink it…

Mark my name down on the anti-fruit beer petition.

However, I agree with Evan: free beer is free beer. At least it’s not Keystone.

    stay thirsty my friends

  10. hey rick I think that was a commercial for dewar’s.

  11. I will deduct that Miller Chill is bad based on the fact that Miller taste like you just flushed some of your hard earned cash down a drain.

I’d like to call out that The Dodos are a bunch of phonies! Last december, I saw them open for The Walkmen and they said it was their “last show ever”. Some guy yelled out “of 2008!” and the drummer who was right in front of me said something like there’s no next year… Whatever, the point if they basically announced they were splitting up and I proceeded to spread the bad news and now they are making a new album and jingling some suck fest of a beer. PHONIES.

    • coulda just been fucking around at the show, no? ur an idiot

      • Excuse me, where you there? I’m guessing NO. They looked very serious and the drummer was very, like extremely, annoyed. He made a dismissive “get me the fuck out of here” reaction when the guy yelled “of 2008″. I was literally right in front of him.

“There’s no next year.” They were predicting the end of the world, duh. What, like you can predict something like that any more accurately? Give the guys a break!

  12. just saw Holy Fuck’s “Lovely Allen” in a car commercial for Chevy during the hockey game

    • that commercial plays at least once every commercial break during hockey games. at least in the detroit market it does

  13. selling out is coolz now!!!1!!!111

  14. I give that movie reference a 6 out of 10.

I didn’t think it was that good a movie myself, but maybe in the way that I’ll watch or listen to something, not like it at all, then come back to it way down the line and really like it.

This is dumb. Are you really going to try and make a point about tastes? That’s like arguing whether tomatoes are disgusting or not. If it weren’t for the half-decent news I get from this site, I would hope that someone would hack it and destroy it. Worst writing in the history of mankind.

  16. I’m not a big fan of citrus infused beer, but i do like this song.

  17. I only drink Schmitt’s Gay.

  18. The world’s most interest man does not like Meric Long

  19. Two things I like: 1) Dodos 2) Plenty of calories in my beer.

  20. Stereogum does not approve of Miller Chill.

  21. They don’t drink the beer you FGT! Go eat your own shit!

If stereogum hates something, then I hate it.
