When we last heard from Zero 7, they were collaborating with José González on The Garden‘s opener “Futures” way back in 2006 (when they were also working with Sia, among others). Speaking of futures, though, the Downtempo UK duo of Henry Binns and Sam Hardaker (and, yes, various vocal friends) finally have a new album in the form of fourth full-length Yeah Ghost. The slick, chilly Zidane and Takashi (or, maybe, Haruki) Murakami-referencing “Everything Is Up (Zizou)” features the voice of Binns along with Eska Mtungwazi. It’s not the first single from the album, but it is the first song from the album we’re posting.
Keep on the lookout for remixes of “Everything Up (Zizou)” by Joker, Gold Panda and Mock and Tooth.
Yeah Ghost is out 9/8 via Atlantic. The first single, “The Medicine Man,” is due in August. Keep up to date at the band’s official website.

About time they come out with an new album, I was listening to Simple Things last week wondering when I could expect a new album. This track is tits and got me stoked about what else might be on this album.
Haruki Murakami. C’mon guys.
If it’s in reference to him though, i have no idea what theyre talking about.
I don’t like it. I think I was too stuck on Simple Things. I’ll keep trying.
wow, what a stinker. hope the album is better than this meandering pile of poo….
Simple Things is hard to top, and I don’t think this single cuts it. Let’s see the rest of the album eh?
I like this song, so stop complaining its not Simple Things, yea simple thins is good as well, but you can like both. You can hear other new songs on their MySpace page.
i wouldnt make any judgement, if you recall a lot of people slammed the garden when it came out, and it turned out to be quite a jewel. One of the most intriguing aspects of 07, is they try and keep it fresh.
Simple Things was nice, but does this really “stink” by comparison? It’s not the same type of sound, sure… but I think it’s a good thing for musicians to show a little diversity, and I think this is doing that just fine (without losing their identity).
