Another new Radiohead song out of nowhere? We just got one last week. Is this the rumored Twilight song? Part of the secret plan Thom hinted at in The Believer? A convincing Radiohead ripoff? Who leaked it? (Miley Cyrus?) Is this real life? From the original MP3 file, ateaseweb pulled the title “These Are My Twisted Words” and this cryptic message:

  1. better this than a sextape involving, well, any of them.

  2. “Tom” tipped you off, eh? Or should I say… Thom! Me suspects there’s some shenanigans at play!

    …wait, no. No, I don’t.

    goddamn miley cyrus! ahah

  4. sebastian  |   Posted on Aug 12th, 2009 0

    ohmygodz. <3

  5. 2much Radiohead these days… GREAT…
funny thing they just said “no albums coming for awhile”@ The Believer
They just love to play with their fans/disciples…

  6. patback  |   Posted on Aug 12th, 2009 0

    This song is AMAZING.

  7. New Song  |   Posted on Aug 12th, 2009 0

  8. connor  |   Posted on Aug 12th, 2009 0

    Love this song!!!!!

  9. At Ease  |   Posted on Aug 13th, 2009 0

This song is just freaking great! Lets hope for another leak.

  10. Awesome song.

  11. Sooo we’re tricked into believing we won’t hear any new radiohead for a long time, yet here’s a second new song, on top of the two new Thom Yorke songs, on top of the still possible twilight song?…

    Thom, you thick fuck.

  12. Corey  |   Posted on Aug 13th, 2009 0

He didn’t say there wouldn’t be a new album, per se. He said he was tired with the album format. That doesn’t mean we aren’t going to soon get 14 songs in three EPs, or a song a week for three months or something crazy like that.

  13. Evan  |   Posted on Aug 13th, 2009 0

A million times better than that Harry Patch mess

  14. Jono  |   Posted on Aug 13th, 2009 0

I don’t know. Something about this song just screams demo to me. I don’t think it’s finished.

  15. If it is Radiohead this song is basically them in “b-side” mode. And I do not mean that in a bad way. Their b-sides are killer; “Palo Alto”, “The Trickster”, “The Amazing Sounds of Orgy”, “Bishop’s Robes”, “A Reminder”, “Kinetic”; all brilliant. Who else has b-sides that can compete with that? Pavement, maybe, but…..

Wait. What were we talking about again?

    • Daniel  |   Posted on Aug 13th, 2009 0

Another band with incredible b-sides is Muse. I need to check out those songs you mentioned, I’m a big fan of Radiohead but I don’t believe I’ve heard even one of those songs you mentioned.

      • Steve  |   Posted on Aug 17th, 2009 0

Fuck you Videogum readers with the twitchy “score” fingers. Giving Daniel negatives for what? Liking Muse? Not knowing Radiohead songs? Some of you are the definition of Losers. (On the same level with the people who still comment “First!”

The rest of you are cool.

      • Yeah, both Radiohead and Muse have got incredible b-sides. I don’t know many bands who do.

    • der  |   Posted on Aug 13th, 2009 0

who else has b-sides that can compare? the cure from 1979 to 1992.

    • I’ll probably get downvoted for this, but Blur and Oasis (not to compare them to Radiohead) both have some great b-sides. Fluxblog made a mix of them that was awesome.

      • And don’t forget that the Beatles, Jam, and the Smiths threw away some great songs on their singles as well. It always seemed to me that the artists would put a track from the album on the b-side of the single and save the other cuts for future releases.

        • true that…..Hey Bulldog is one of my favorite Beatles songs and Im not sure they ever properly released it.

        • me  |   Posted on Aug 14th, 2009 0

if they put 2 album tracks on a single, then there would be no reason for people who already owned the album to buy the single…

  16. Daniel  |   Posted on Aug 13th, 2009 0

It’s an incredible song much better than that “harry patch” one. THIS is classic Radiohead, the Radiohead everyone in their right mind loves.

  17. Smashing Pumpkins had absolutely brilliant b-sides. I can name a few Bjork b-sides that are better than her album tracks (which is saying something). Radiohead does have some great ones, though. I agree this is an unfinished track as there’s at least one clear edit.

  18. cymbal rush  |   Posted on Aug 13th, 2009 0

    Score = 0

    there is no “classic radiohead”

  19. ughh Smashing Pumpkins and Muse. Muse always seems to stink up all Radiohead discussions.

  20. Great tune. I’m really loving this more and more, the more I listen to it. But it’s usually like that with Radiohead.

This sounds familiar and like something new at the same time… That’s a pretty brilliant thing to pull off.

  21. Third time’s the charm. The Present Tense was good, Harry Patch wasn’t and this…..is genius. As usual.

  22. SyZyGy  |   Posted on Aug 13th, 2009 0

Intense, teetering off the edge, nasty drums, killer vocals, RADIOHEAD RULES YOUR FACE

  23. This is so awesome. I’m loving this whole surprise new Radiohead song every week or so thing. Feel free to keep that up, guys!

  24. Sounds better than almost everything on In Rainbows.

  25. Ray Shackleford  |   Posted on Aug 13th, 2009 0

It would be nice to see Radiohead put their new “release it when we feel like it” model into doing some protest songs that people actually want to listen to in the vein of For What It’s Worth or Ohio. Hail to the Thief seems like a long time ago suddenly…

  26. Folks at atease are now conjecturing that this is one of two things:

    1. An unreleased demo, put out discreetly as a big fuck you to EMI, who may be planning to release a rarities/demos box set to further capitalize off of all the Radiohead stuff they’ve got the rights to.

    2. Through some conjecturing in regards to the nfo file provided, this is a new track from an EP titled “Wall of Ice”, to be released next Monday.

  27. Really like this! love their last 3 albums, don’t get me wrong, but I like this even better.. maybe…

I love the album format, but whatever as long as i get new radiohead (like this) I’m happy :)

  28. Burg  |   Posted on Aug 13th, 2009 0

    Oiy … nice!

  29. Albert  |   Posted on Aug 13th, 2009 0

RADIOHEAD F*CKING SUX, END OF THREAD.

  30. toto  |   Posted on Aug 13th, 2009 0

    sounds like a finally-released Amnesiac b-side

  31. this sounds more like something post bends but pre ok computer.

  32. Anyone else think this sounds like arpeggiator from fugazi (demo version – not end hits version) only with minor chords?

  33. Andre Breton  |   Posted on Aug 13th, 2009 0

    LOVED the “kidsmoke”…keep em’ comming!

  34. Steve  |   Posted on Aug 13th, 2009 0

    This is a good song.

  35. Ari  |   Posted on Aug 13th, 2009 0

according to someone at atease, the member who uploaded These Are My Twisted Words, downloaded a vinyl rip of Merriweather Post Pavillion seven months ago. Which was their last activity.

I’m guessing if it is someone from the band who leaked, it would be Colin?

  36. This sounds a bit like a demo/b-side. Definitely could fit into In Rainbows but doesn’t sound finished.

We’ll see. Maybe they’ll pull another In Rainbows and say “hey, we’ve got a little something, something EP coming out next week. Buy it. xoxo”

  37. What on earth is this? It sounds like an Amnesiac-era B-side.

Can it really be new? If so, what was it recorded for? Are they about to drop an EP on us?

  38. gulliver  |   Posted on Aug 13th, 2009 0

yeah, i like this one a lot.

  39. carol  |   Posted on Aug 13th, 2009 0

oh my likey very much. keep the leaks coming boys

  40. Holly  |   Posted on Aug 13th, 2009 0

It’s unfair to refer to any of the puked out drivel this band manufactures as “songs”. Songs are melodic… not moaning, droning bullshit. Radiohead haven’t written “songs” since The Bends. I’m sick of people that worship these jokers. Anyone asshole with Acid and Fruity Loops can shit out the same generic garbage.

The emperor has no clothes, people.

  41. roofbeam  |   Posted on Aug 13th, 2009 0

It’s unfair to refer to any of Holly’s thoughts as “intelligent”.

  42. Holly  |   Posted on Aug 13th, 2009 0

Oooo… I’ve ruffled the feathers of some lemming with absolutely pathetic taste in music! Keep guzzlin’ that Kool-Aid, roofbeam! Let your hipster flag fly!

Holly, you suck so bad. Flip that guzzling remark around, reverse it, and close your legs because you’re stinking up this joint with every word you type, duders.

      • Holly  |   Posted on Aug 13th, 2009 0

As a graduate from Columbia with a Ph.D. in Musicology with a minor in Music Composition, I think it’s arguable that I know a little more than you.

Education aside, it’s simply just taste and common sense that you lack, sir. Good luck venturing beyond the limiting haze of the pot cloud that undoubtedly follows you everywhere.

        • Ari  |   Posted on Aug 13th, 2009 0

You have a PhD in Musicology and you like The Bends???

        • As a Professor in Musicography at Columbia whose research involves studying the Diagraphic Relational Awesomeness of popular Western music, I can state with 97% Scientific accuracy that Radiohead is somewhat awesome.

Also, Holly, you forgot to turn in your term paper on “Variances in Clarinet Construction Materials During the 19th Century”, which I’m afraid forces me to give you an incomplete. Please return your PhD to the Registrar’s Office by Monday, or you will face a $35 fine.

        • On behalf of Radiohead fans and anyone with the slightest bit of knowledge about music in general  |   Posted on Aug 13th, 2009 0

It doesn’t change the fact we think you’re a stupid slut. A stupid slut with a phD from Columbia. If there’s one thing they don’t teach you at university, its common sense. Its simply just being likeable as a human being, having an admirable form of modesty and non-pretention and common sense that you lack. Good luck venturing beyond the limiting haze of the ritzy one-bedroom loft paid for on old money’s dime filled with loneliness, self-loathing and an envy for what likeable people have that undoubtedly follows you everywhere.

  43. Evan F.  |   Posted on Aug 13th, 2009 0

You majored in the Prince record @ Columbia too!?

  44. Luke  |   Posted on Aug 13th, 2009 0

I agree with you. This is awful. Thom Yorke should take his head out of his ass. All the people who defend the drivel he’s been producing after OK Computer should too.

  45. lucifersam  |   Posted on Aug 13th, 2009 0

it sounds like pink floyd with syd barrett. which is definitely a good thing:)

  46. coolestnameontheinternet  |   Posted on Aug 13th, 2009 0

I admire you so much for educating yourself to be so angry about music that tries to move away from traditional and boring songwriting. Musical educations obviously destroys creativity and progress. By the way, did the professors not teach you that 24 hours is a bit quick to judge something as “generic garbage”?

  47. lol holly sucks so bad  |   Posted on Aug 13th, 2009 0

i just wanted to point out the obvious!!!

  48. Stfu  |   Posted on Aug 13th, 2009 0

This sounds like a finished song, and a pretty bad one compared to kid a/amnesiac. Hail to the thief and in rainbows sucked, i bet the next ep will suck too.

  49. air  |   Posted on Aug 13th, 2009 0

Nice I just wish I could get hold of the MP3

  50. Sauer  |   Posted on Aug 13th, 2009 0

Air, if you can’t find this Mp3, you must really suck at the internet.

PS – love the new song, more please.

  51. versoma  |   Posted on Aug 13th, 2009 0

Maybe their new “marketing ploy” is to release (leak) songs, then allow fans to put together their own album? I remember Thom Yorke saying something about hoping people get the songs in the right order in a recent interview. Just a guess…

  52. Holly  |   Posted on Aug 13th, 2009 0

Likable? You? Now I know you’re full of shit. Before, I just thought your music sucked.

Hey everyone, let’s express our individuality and be just like everyone else! I respect that you think this avant-garde-let’s-throw-what-we-can-to-the-wall-and-see-what-sticks crap makes you more open-minded, but perhaps you’d be better suited forming your own opinion and stop regurgitating blurbs from Pitchfork. You’re a lemming. These guys are neither advancing intelligent music composition or honoring it. Throw a rock and you’ll hit some dorm room stoner with Pro-Tools that shits out the same uncreative blend of musical diarrhea on a daily basis.

Old money? Not even hardly, man. Thanks for that assumption, though, but your superior indie-kid douchebaggery has publicly embarrassed you and rendered you intellectually impotent again. If you’re harboring resent at those of us who worked to put ourselves through school because of an undying passion for music, my advice to you is to get off the couch, put out the joint, and make something of yourself.

Or, you know, you could just stay home and wank off to pictures of Thom’s lazy eye. Whatever.

    • Holly  |   Posted on Aug 13th, 2009 0

Also, if someone would please come over to my studio and bang me rough out of my bitchy, naggy, uptight mood, I’ll be available this evening and free for most of the weekend. Thom Yorke and his pals aren’t the only ones who go by the name “radiohead” if you know what I mean (and by that, I mean you can pick me up almost anywhere and I will give you awesome oral satisfaction.)

  53. Holly  |   Posted on Aug 13th, 2009 0

Say what you will about my views and say so rudely misogynistically, but I won’t back down from my assertion that Radiohead’s work in recent years is nothing short but compartmentalized and without much musical merit. All you who praise Thom Yorke as a songwriter are clinging onto trends under the veil of a drug-infused misguidance, when really if you could see the air clearly for one second, you would appreciate real great work in the past decade.

Tori Amos writes songs. Noel Gallagher writes. Chris Cornell writes songs. Ryan Adams writes songs. Beck, who I think is the greatest musician of the past 25 years and my generation, writes songs. These Radiohead tracks are not songs.

    • Ew, um, I would like to distance myself from the unfortunately misogynist turn this thread has taken. “On behalf of…”‘s comments are totally not appropriate, so I’m sorry about that Holly.

That said, saying “I went to college for this so I think I know more than you” is a surefire way to piss off people on the internet. I majored in film, but I’ve learned that some people are going to enjoy Night at the Museum, no matter how much Kierkegaard I quote at them. Sometimes things have benefit beyond the intellectual, so try not to be so condescending towards popular taste.

      • Holly  |   Posted on Aug 13th, 2009 0

I know, and maybe I was a bit too forthcoming with my first statement but I am glad you can at least relate to my frustrations with the general public’s views on art. Where are you from? Maybe we can catch up over some coffee sometime. If I create a profile here, will it allow me to send you a private message so that we could have a more domesticated discourse on this, among other topics?

        • Seriously, I would think someone who has some musical knowledge would actually appreciate Radiohead’s music more than a person without. They have an incredible use of dissonance and atonality that always attracts me. And you cite Noel Gallagher and Chris Cornell as good songwriters? And tell us we are not advancing musically? I’m just so confused. Your argument makes perfect sense if you are ON THE OTHER SIDE. But you aren’t and you are saying that those two people (who notoriously write songs involving 5 chords and boring, boring melodies) are more musically advanced than a band like Radiohead who are, in my mind, ingenious. They have some of the most musically advancing material I have heard, and continue to do so, and I really feel sorry for you for being so passionately against them.

      • Brilliant. Great comment.

    • Wtholt33  |   Posted on Aug 13th, 2009 0

What classifies a song though? A song shouldn’t be limited to a certain structure, it makes it too bland and boring.

    • germjam  |   Posted on Aug 14th, 2009 0

Go girl! You got quite a bit of attention. You’re like a little Nancy Grace. You should put your talent to good use before you turn into more of a blabbermouth smartypants.

All the Holly’s, real or fake are irrelevant to the arguement. The facts are these:

    Radiohead sucks my sweaty nuts.

  60. You used Noel Gallagher and Chris Cornell as examples of good songwriting? Really? I mean, apart from the fact that Noel basically rips off every artist he likes and writes the most asinine lyrics imaginable, or the fact that Cornell hasn’t written a good song since about ’96 and has recently just come out with one of the most embarrassing records of recent memory…what was your point, again?

  61. But wait you guys, Holly went to college, she knows more about this stuff.

Fuck new moon!!! That movie doesn’t deserve this song

  68. as for the music itself, not too bad; i dig it. it mkes my head move. equal to what they normally produce, nothing groundbreaking :’(

  69. If Edward Cullen likes this song, than I like this song. No seriously though it’s about three times better than Harry Patch. Right on about the b-side feel of the track. LYRICS PLEASE.

  70. JamiroFan2000  |   Posted on Aug 13th, 2009 0

    Uh…..how about this scenario:

“These Are My Twisted Words” is the new song Radiohead is contributing to the Twilight 2 Movie Soundtrack.

Starting to think that this could have been leaked by someone whom works/has a promo of this yet to be released soundtrack. OR I could completely be wrong and just comment on how much this new song rocks, not counting the crappy pubescent vampire sequel that it could conjoined to, in any case, it is monolithic!

  71. Lia  |   Posted on Aug 13th, 2009 0

wonder what will happen on august 17…

  72. This is just a taste of what’s to come and I love it.

RE: This “Holly” person, you (the very first one and not the fake ones) you needs to go back and listen to the stuff Radiohead released after The Bends. You sound like a person who hopped onto the Creep-bandwagon while it was hot on MTV way back when. I know you also enjoyed some other songs they would later release from The Bends as well. But at some point while you were probably listening to Ok Computer, you probably gave up and decided it sounded just too weird for your own taste. From that point on, you’ve been bitter and have decided to rail against everything the band has released since.

Your comment(s?) here so far have been nothing short of amusing, specially to those of us here who are real fans that truly appreciate music. I’m not going to insult your intelligence, (you’ve done plenty of that yourself here already), but I will say that when you finally realize the brilliance behind OK Computer & Kid A, we will all be here waiting for an apology.

    When are you coming back,
    I just cant stand it.

  74. massromantic  |   Posted on Aug 13th, 2009 0

are you serious? holly voiced her opinions on radiohead’s career ["opinion", look it up!] and all of a sudden you guys are calling her a slut whose existence is nothing less than horrible because oh my lord, she doesn’t like “in rainbows”!

    that’s hardly necessary.

i was a huge fan of radiohead, and own all of their albums including nearly all of their b-sides. and i HATED “in rainbows”. my favourite album is “amnesiac”, but i can’t stand the music they’re making now. so it goes. tastes change. and when a band progresses in a different direction than where they started from, you can expect to lose fans and spark debate.

apparently i fail at life because i’m no longer as big a fan of radiohead as i was when i was 14, and didn’t give myself a major heart attack when i saw they released a new single. good to see that’s all it really comes down to.

big thanks to the poster who commented that if edward cullen likes them, then they like them. that pretty much solidifies everything right there. “if you don’t like them then omg you need to die in a fire you dumb bitch. how could you be so stupid?”.

    please go back to pitchfork.com.

    • anon  |   Posted on Aug 13th, 2009 0

They got mad at her because she said that Radiohead didn’t make “music”, and that all the songs they make nowadays are garbage.
She basically dismissed RH as being a crappy, mediocre band. Even if you aren’t a fan of their music, that’s a stupid thing to say–ESPECIALLY in a post full of Radiohead fans. Her negative comments were unnecessary and ridiculous.

      • massromantic  |   Posted on Aug 15th, 2009 0

thank you anon. i appreciate the reply!
i felt like a lot of negativity was being directed towards her for her stating her opinion, but i can definitely see where you’re coming from

  79. Craig  |   Posted on Aug 14th, 2009 0

It’s not about what Holly likes or doesn’t like — I really, truly don’t care if somebody doesn’t like Radiohead. Not everybody has, or should have, the exact same taste. But I do care if somebody walks into a Radiohead discussion thread and tells me not just that they don’t like Radiohead, but that I’m a trendhopping drug addict with horrible taste in music if I do.

Jeez, a whole day later and you wankers are still at it.

My desire to piss you off has succeeded, and I’m pleased.

For the record, I can’t stand Beck, Chris Cornell, Oasis, my dog is not dead, and, sorry Narrowstrife, that wasn’t me hitting on you. I’m amused that some of you feel so passionately about this utter shite that some of you took time out of your day to assume my identity, which was fraudulent to begin with.

    You see, I’m a guy.

You all made assumptions about my gender because of the anonymous name I chose. And how did you react? With some of the most bitter, misogynistic attacks I’ve ever seen. I expected to have my intelligence insulted, as that’s the only defense mechanism of the weak-minded internet nerds who get stuffy when someone insults their bad taste in music… (Don’t worry, SubSick, you’ll grow out of it!), but I have to say I was genuinely surprised at some of you and the depths that you chose to sink to.

To those few inarticulate mutants that decided to sexually deride “Holly” with your disgusting comments, all I can say to you is that you should be ashamed.

Really, really ashamed. I’m sure there’s a woman in your life somewhere, be it your mother, sister or wife, who is probably equally ashamed of what you are.

I’m quite sure Radiohead would even be disgusted to know that they have “people” like you in their audience.

    Love,
    “Holly”

wow. that was awesome. you rock holly.

    • I like how the sentence, “You see, I’m a guy” has its own line, as if it’s supposed to blow all of our minds.

    • Good job “Holly”, I’ll take your extended reply as an apology from you to all of us here.

      Apology accepted.

The fact that you were insulted by those who derided this “Holly-character” (who chances are it’s the real you and who very well deserved to be insulted if you ask me), assures me that you are indeed a woman. YOU ARE NOT A GUY. A guy would not be the least bothered by someone else deriding their identity in such a manner. And a guy would not state: “…all I can say to you is that you should be ashamed. Really, really ashamed. I’m sure there’s a woman in your life somewhere, be it your mother, sister or wife, who is probably equally ashamed of what you are…”

Get over it. It’s the internet. People will say what they wish. If you are gonna be a bitch about it then go listen to your Chris Cornell record (which I’m convinced you do love) and stop coming in here bashing someone’s music and then not being able to take the heat.

“She’s” probably a “he” that loves dudes. I think you two should hook up now. “Holly”, are you a top or a bottom? Hopefully a top, because the dude whose reply is above me is clearly a bottom based on his name.

gay bashing online is in itself a sign of having gay-tendencies my friend, U-R-GAY.

          • jaoquimphoenix1901  |   Posted on Aug 16th, 2009 0

First off, “Holly” already said “she” is a “he.” Secondly and more importantly, this may be a bit mindblowing but those are terms gay people use when describing their positions in their sexual relationships. “Far out!”, I know and if only heteros could be so clever! Its unfortunate you tried to seize the opportunity to make yourself sound like the all-accepting, non-judgemental commentator here just because you saw an edgy and taboo topic that the (hetero) masses usually try not to discuss and perhaps you are straight and think straight people can’t say anything funny about gay people, because its automatically hate speech. The truth is, this is 2009 and gay people are awesome. If you surrounded yourself enough with them as great friends and family, you’d be comfortable enough to crack a joke, too. Me gay? No, just comfortable with who WE are.

          • Karl Lemartine  |   Posted on Aug 17th, 2009 0

i can see filibustering is something you gays are good at

      • So you think it’s impossible for a male to have feminist views?
Believe it or not, some men are decent people. You obviously, are not.
“A guy would not be the least bothered by someone else deriding their identity in such a manner.”
Because you wouldn’t want to stereotype or generalise, would you?
        Dickhead.

      What’s next? No Santa Claus?

  81. rocksolid  |   Posted on Aug 14th, 2009 0

This song definitely sounds like a b-side. Here’s hoping there is a real surprise on Monday:)

  82. Too bad identity is pretty irrelevant on a site like this anyway. Regardless, you didn’t win. About four or five people were rude. You shouldn’t be glad that your trolling methods were in the least bit successful. You should be ashamed you have to resort to trolling in the first place. I don’t think even those four or five that were rude were doing it for anything other than poor humor. And Holly (+ impersonators), your comments were very amusing and thus we win.

Radiohead can make people overreact. Just look at Pitchfork’s review of Kid A.

    I’m scared…

  84. chris  |   Posted on Aug 14th, 2009 0

When I first bought In Rainbows online, I really felt like I was crazy because I didn’t love it and everyone else was falling over themselves horny for it. It just seemed like they stopped innovating and kind of settled. Which would be fine if they wrote a ‘more conventional’ album like The Bends, but In Rainbows is NOWHERE near that record in terns of songcraft. Just for reference I think Kid A is their best record. Regarding this track, it’s plodding and forgettable, and sounds like an In Rainbows C-side. I’m getting nervous about this band, but I’ll reserve full judgement til the EP.

  85. Dave W  |   Posted on Aug 15th, 2009 0

look ‘chris’ …im sorry you want the Bends part 2, 3 , 4 ,5 …i admit, it’d make us ALL happy, in a sense, a safe boring sense, but this is a band that EVOLVES…sorry, get on the train or get the fuck off whiney.

ANYWAY, back to my comment, ‘i like it’ …def. sounds like a sdtk song, be surprised if it wasnt on Twighlight 2. But my first reaction was ‘ahh, i think we finally have RH’s tribute to Joy Division song;)

(OH …n In Rainbows you have to listen to in full sonic goodness to appreciate, 320kbps OR the cd, preferably on headphones, and u must also add the b sides to get the full album effect.) Fer fook sake, if Videotape/Nude n All i Need don’t give you the chills vs. fake plastic trees, I’d recommend shock therapy…let GO of the past, be happy they’re still here n get over it. OR yeah, be one of those fakeass ex-RH lovin’ posers who now pretends …idk, every other indie band out there is suddenly putting out more genius/perfect cds…as IF.

Mind blown!! As always radiohead with the amazing tunes.

Kinda disappointed that people like holly exist though. Remember kids, no one ever wants to be friends with a pompous asshole. By the way, smoke weed, everyday!

  87. adam  |   Posted on Aug 15th, 2009 0

Definitely a keeper. Idk why people are saying its a B-side. Even some of their B-sides like Fast track and Meeting in the Aisle are some of my favorite songs. This song is brilliant.

  88. boring

AHEM… CHILDREN!!! Please have a once-over of this entire thread, then take a peek at the title of the song that generated these rants, and try putting two and two together.

Whether or not you like the song, the band, or the marketing, it looks like we’ve all painted on the canvas that has been set before us.

  90. you are not smart as you think you are….

  91. troll  |   Posted on Aug 17th, 2009 0

WTF IS THIS SHIT ALL THIS SUCKS AND YOU ALL HAVE BAD TASTE I LEIK METAL REALLY >:3

  92. Ok, sorry if this has been said before, but why am I logged in as Gabe?

i think holly is actually thom

  94. Sick tune. I want moar.

  95. Damn.  |   Posted on Aug 17th, 2009 0

It’s up at dead air space. But no EP. Not yet, anyway. We all look dumb. BUT, they do acknowledge the existence of TAMTW and give it to you for free, so go ahead and zip on over to dead air space first chance you get. http://www.radiohead.com/deadairspace/

  96. Not angry, just disappointed.  |   Posted on Aug 17th, 2009 0

It’s a bit of a snooze, isn’t it? The sonic equivalent of margarine. I’ve listened to it 10 times now, and I still can’t remember anything about it.

  97. Cerebus  |   Posted on Aug 17th, 2009 0

    ^^^ Agreed.

And I still hear an edit in there shortly before Thom starts singing. Not a big deal, really. But the song just feels like something they’ve been working on (possibly to have something new to play this summer, as has been mentioned), decided it was “good enough” and tossed it out to teh internets to be consumed and discussed. It’s free, so complaining is somewhat pointless. But really, not that great.

  98. once is leaked, it’s everywhere, they are clever enough to make it quick to let people download free from the official site! thats cool

  99. boring
