
It’s been a while since we’ve checked in with Breakfast At Sulimay’s. In this spin-off shot at the Barbary, Ann dresses like a hippie and has a discussion with Alan Palomo, aka “Neon Indians,” aka Iron Butterfly. They talk briefly about NI’s beginnings, VEGA, Ghost Hustler, and the meaning of Psychic Chasms. It’s nowhere nearly as in-depth as Joe’s monologue with Fiery Furnaces. Ann seems to be taking her medication, though: Beyond an initial comment about wanting to eat Alan alive, she’s the most mellow I’ve ever seen her. After the discussion, watch the band do “Deadbeat Summer.”

Jive Talkin is one of the best crafted singles ever…That’s a fact not an opinion…The Griz Bear remix shows such potetial…
