Menomena Rehearses The Choir

Last night, Menomena sent their fans a little morsel of the choral wonder that awaits those attending the band's (superb) album release show at Portland's Crystal Ballroom 1/28. They'll be accompanied by the 25-member Portland Chapter of the Menomena Choir, and here the band offers a peek at a practice session, including "Rotten Hell" and "The Pelican." They should kick out that girl that drops the harmonic ball on "Rotten." (Really, we're just jealous we don't get to see 'em with a choir.) Is there a New York chapter of the Menomena choir? How about a SXSW chapter? We'll buy the margs.

I just got my tickets to see their Bowery show in March. 2 months too long to wait though after being teased with this.

and Friend and Foe is brilliant.

Menomena did a secret dress rehearsal show with the choir last night at the Doug Fir and it was effing brilliant. They even had cake and ice cream in honor of Craig Thompson, who did the album's artwork.
