"The Kill" is up at YouTube. 3STM's weekend set for KROQ reminds us of the band's Lolla performance: Jared in a silly costume, cursing a lot.
It's about the music, though. Not the image. In this pre-show interview, Jared reveals, "This isn't a band of faces ... and of fashion." The interviewer congratulates Leto for silencing all doubters, and the singer gives him a hug ("My wife's gonna pass out when I tell her I hugged Jared Leto.")
C'mon Axl, show 'em how it's really done.

Man this band is really bad. I remember seeing them on Fuse when I was home during christmas and thought this could never go anywhere. I am seriously underestimating the nations appetite for shirts with guns and horrible stage sycophantic stage banter....

It never ceases to amaze me how people can be such complete haters when they don't know someone. I've met Jared many times and he has been nothing but nice, friendly and giving. He and the rest of the band have a genuine relationship with their fans that I've never seen with any other band out there. They are definitely talented musicians and have nothing to prove to anyone. If any of you knew anything about Jared and the history of the band, you would know that he started out with music and fell into acting, not the other way around. Acting was a way to pay the bills and fund the band's beginnings. The fact that he was good at that too was just a plus. People see him as an actor turned musician, but that couldn't be further from the truth. Do your research and get your facts straight people.
To the person who said Jared was nice before but would probably charge him to shake his hand now, you really take the cake. Dogging someone who was nice to you in the past and assuming he wouldn't be now....talk about making idiotic assumptions. Jared loves talking to fans and meeting them one on one. Know someone before you pass judgement.

I am a huge fan of 30 seconds to mars.I love their music and I think is is completely awesome that he became a singer.It is not a trend.How many actors who have become singers go anywhere?He definately has and I don't see why people feel obligated to leave hate comments.If you don't like them,that's fine.But it doesn't mean you have to bash them.Like my parents always say,"if you don't have anything nice to say.Don't say anything at all."And Jared is big star now.Of course it would be more difficult to get an autograph but you can't automaticaly assume he is a 'mondo-douchebag'.What I have said may not make complete sense but it aleast gets my point across.Stop hating.It is not cool.It is just annoying and stupid.
