A Tidy Zip Of Pitchfork's Hot 100

We love reader mail. All of it! But this one was particularly lovely, from Adam in Madison, WI:

I read your site from time to time, but never post. My buddy and I compiled all 100 tracks yesterday. 3 or 4 are transcodes and one is only 160 kbps, otherwise they're all of very good quality.

Anything else I can do for your lovely publication, inquire away.

Adam, THANK YOU! What more can we ask when you've just done so much? Our DJ finger was beyond tired of clicking links and saving files. So, enjoy y'all -- and everyone, thank Adam in the comments! No lumps of coal for him this Monday.

boo, i was at 86% and it just suddenly stopped and said it was finished. i guess megaupload killed all the downloads that were going out before they pulled the link, too.

Thanks for giving Madison, WI a good name, because Lord knows I don't bring it any glory with my meddling Stereogum posts.

I can upload the file to my host and post the link, which won't get taken down. I just need a considerate soul to do so. the link is below if anyone wants to do so. It's just a start and walk away process and pretty self-explanatory. I'll post a link as soon as i wake up and someone has been gracious enough to share with those of us without. Many thanks in advance to that kind person!

good work from adam, but does this mean you all love pitchfork, and would happily bend over for them, and have them shove their taste making tongues where the sun don't shine?

bah humbug, xmas sucks.

I don't get it, why isn't anyone talking about the Colbert Report?

Is the American Idol of whacky news meets indie math rock had its finale?

Thursday night's The Colbert Report showcased a compelling parade of VIPs - a creaky, almost freaky gala of old rock stars like Peter Frampton, former Secretary of State Henry Kissinger (umm, OK), a new rock star (Chris Funk), and not to be forgotten, of course, the energetic, ever ego-tripping, tongue-in-cheek, flag-waving prankster:

Thanks so much! I have a lot of listening to do.

On another note, would it be completely undemocratic and far too Gawker-ish if stereogum commenters had to be invited? I don't mean that it should be a super-exclusive club or anything, but it would be nice if the site could filter out spammers somehow, and also avoid the numerous posting problems that come up that result in five posts for the same snarky comment.

This isn't a re-up, when I downloaded it it only had about 50 mp3s, so I compiled this myself. No transcodes, all mp3s, 600 MB and 7.5 hours of music.
Enjoy.
