Across The Narrow

Why can't all indie rock bands get along ... in the same borough? Is that so much to ask?

Decisions...

Is it really a question as to whether The Pixies, Beck, Built to Spill, Belle and Sebastian Gang of Four and DFA 1979 are worthier than The Killers, Oasis, Jet, The Ordinary Boys and Tegan and Sara?

Brooklyn in a rout.

Brooklyn....but Tegan and Sara, Interpol, and British Sea Power would be sadly missed.

Brooklyn. Beck and Built to Spill both put on great live shows. And I want to see Mando Diao live! I'm jealous...

dublin sure isnt brooklyn. which im partly thankful for. but i want me some new york.

seems pretty easy

October 1 Pixies
October 2 Oasis (with a nice built in tea break for when you slip out during Lemonheads and an early dinner break when you avoid Jet)

i've really soured on Beck every since the Stereogum expose of his scientological pursuits ...

I'm going to see a Tegan and Sara accoustic show tomorrow here in Sydney... I'll let y'all know how it was if it becomes a deciding factor for ya.

Huh? Wha?

There's absoultely no dilemma here. It'd be nice to see BSP; but other than that...

Come on! (disappointed in Stereogum)

If I didn't have a friend getting married that weekend, it'd be Brooklyn all the way. Gang of Four is not to be missed, and Belle & Sebastian have always been and always will be my absolute favorite live show. They're very charming. Day 2 of Staten Island is also known as "the Oasis outdoor stadium tour" - they're touring the country with Jet and Kasabian, so you can just catch them then, I know I will!
