Akon's Presidential Aspirations Dashed By 24

SPOILER ALERT: If you haven't made it to Season 5 of 24 just yet, best to shift your gaze elsewhere.

Akon, who serves presently as youth issues ambassador to Senegalese President Abdoulaye Wade, was set to one day run a fierce and dedicated campaign to himself become President of his native Senegal. Until he saw David Palmer take a bullet to the throat in Season 5. Via The Post Chronicle:

I don't even want to be president no more. Remember, back then I used to say I wanted to run for president in the next 10 years? Now I'm like, 'Never.' I see what I have to go through as an artist, on a day-to-day basis. Can you imagine what the president goes through?

Then after watching 24 the series, I was like man... I'm good. I'll just be the ambassador.

Senegal weeps for its loss of the distinguished gentlemen of "Smack That" fame.

Jack Bauer, screwing up another presidency. Though if Akon was truly serious about being president, he probably would have thought about the possibility for assassination before FOX played it out for him, and he probably wouldn't have told people that his name means "I Want To Fuck You" in Wolof. Anybody catch last night's ep of 24? Whoa crazy ending.

GAH! And I was just about to start watching season 5 on 24. I hope that shit happens in the first episode. Maybe I'm old fashioned, but whatever happened to spoiler alerts?

Sorry pete! We'll add spoiler alert. If it's any consolation, he is taken out in the first few minutes of the first ep.

Jack should've offed Chuck Logan when he had the chance. Now, he's back, he's bearded and he's holed up in an ex-president's idea of a cabin in the woods. He's even wearing a flannel shirt! What is this, 1991? Clearly, he's lost his shit. He's the unabomber with money and we're all doomed.
