Black Kids' Partie Traumatic Album Art

thumbnail icon: Black Kids' Partie Traumatic Album Art

Black Kids are on the verge of releasing their full-length debut Partie Traumatic. We haven't heard the record, but we do know what the cover looks like. If you recall, the Kids sported powdered wigs for "I'm Not Gonna Teach Your Boyfriend How To Dance With You," then Reggie donned a cape in "Hurricane Jane." Keeping with the "dress up" vibe for Partie, we find them playing peekaboo, wearing a menagerie of horned and eared headphone/gear, one animal per Black Kid. That's them modeling the phones in the above picture. But the album art's different.

The horns and ears are white ... but they're Black Kids.

Partie Traumatic is out 7/7 in the UK via Almost Gold and 7/22 in the US via Columbia.

The color scheme and font kind of reminds me of The Cardigan's Super Extra Gravity.

If they wear those live as some kind of gimmick, I give up.

Band To Watch: Threatmantics

Threatmantics are a scruffy Welsh rock trio that throw some wrinkles into the scruffy rock formula: Instead of a lead guitarist, they have a lead John Cale viola, and their drummer does double-time with a keyboard. The two guys mixing...
