Lily Allen's It's Not Me, It's You Album Art

thumbnail icon: Lily Allen's It's Not Me, It's You Album Art

The video for "The Fear" -- Lily's first single from this new set of tunes out next year -- took us into her trailer, unexpectedly unveiling a frilly, elegant, pink-and-blue choreographed world. She's paying faux-homage to the world of flash and femininity and class, but she looked convincingly flashy, feminine, and classy doing it. The album art for It's Not Me, It's You takes the split personality a step further: Lil's reposed and pretty in pink, but also wearing a black veil? Smiling in a nice dress, but wearing an item fit for mourning ... take her at her word about not knowing how she's meant to feel anymore.

It's Not Me, It's You is out 2/10 via Capitol. There's a tour coming this spring.

without her name and title up there it would be an awesome cover...

agreed. if that was a sticker on the plastic wrap [in silver] it would have much more class.

Is Lily Allen paying Stereogum or what ? There's no difference between reporting about Britney Spears than about Lily Allen except that Spears is actually successful....
Is Stereogum related to Allen ? After all she made a "career" through connectons so it wouldn't be surprising....

I agree that the image would look better without the stuff in the corner, it's still a beautiful picture though. Maybe some graphically inclined person can remove that.

Natrum is such a fine example of lacking in musical taste, that it's easier to admire someone that doesn't write her own songs, and has her voice altered by a machine. The height of laziness, never checks for facts, Britney Spears had her '''PARENTS" take her to Disney World, to get her ''career started so your assumption that Lily Allen did anything even close to that is way off. She was too busy being independent, to rely on a father that wasn't there. Running off to Spain and places like Thailand, before she was 18 years old. THE INTERNET; was her SUCCESS after Regal records told her they wanted folk songs, and she said no! After downloading everything that ''SHE wrote Lily Allen'''s My Space page went haywire, Regal Records called her back, and said WOW, how are we going to keep up with the demand? Since then Lily Allen has been a tabloid target, but that's now finally getting dismissed as bad rumor. a #1 hit single, and great reviews for her new C.D. have given her concerts and some festivals, a sold out crowd. The cover of Womanizer was a compliment, not because Lily Allen didn't have anything better to do. Go Away NOW!
