Albert Hammond Jr.'s ¿Cómo Te Llama? Album Art

thumbnail icon: Albert Hammond Jr.'s ¿Cómo Te Llama? Album Art

While you were waiting for the Strokes to get bored of looking cool with no place to go, Albert Hammond, Jr. has put together his second solo record. It was recorded in a studio you will never afford (Electric Lady) with friends more privileged than you will ever have (Sean Lennon) and if it's anywhere near as good as his surprisingly sturdy debut, we'll welcome it with open ears. All of that said, when it's come to the album art, he's surprisingly camera shy.

Also (not) pictured: Matt Romano, Marc Philippe Eskenazi, Josh Lattanzi. Also pictured: Cool apartment.

¿Cómo Te Llama? is out 7/7 via Scratchie.

this guy is very talented. way more than any of his strokes bandmates. even more than his dad!, the "it never rains in southern california" guy
looking forward to the new album, the first one was really good. great cover, and yes, that's a really cool apartment!

jules.
If you happen to be a spanish speaking person from the lowlands, the caribbean, etc. (cuban, puertorican, dominican...) you're more likely to produce ''¿cómo te llama?" this is called an elision or aspiration of the letter [s] (but you're right the form in a spanish speaking person's gramatical mind is always "¿cómo te llamas?")

Can't wait to hear this!

On a related note, does anybody even care when (or if) the next Strokes album is coming out?

Oh come on, that's the best snark you got? Not even one person mocking Albert Hammond Jr for following a trend Coldplay started?
And lemme get this straight. It's now cool to hate the Strokes on the basis of one hit-or-miss album but love the so-so side project by AHJr?

Fuckin' hipsters.

Hi, I´m a man from Madrid, Spain. It´s a good notice that Albert make some new tracks, I think the previous album was great and hope the same thing about ¿Como te llama?
Ít´s incorrect, of course. But for spanish people is not a problem. In english I can translate this for: What´s your namee? and all understand the meaning.
Saludos desde España.
