American Idiot: Next Stop, Broadway? • Green Day are taking their 2004 rock opera to the stage with help from Michael Mayer, the Tony-winning director of Spring Awakening. American Idiot opens 9/4 at the Berkeley Repertory Theatre and tickets are on sale now. Berkeley Rep also have a theatrical production of Matthew Sweet's Girlfriend opening next year.

I remember listening to Green Day a while back and throwing up in my mouth. I can't remember if threw up because I was listening to Green Day or I started listening to Green Day because I wanted to overpower the throw up taste in my mouth. Either way, I have longed fantasized about armpit sex with Green Day.

Since that Decemberists musical he was working on turned into a pretty great album, I guess Michael Mayer's had to resort to Green Day. Sorry, "Spring Awakening" sucks.
He's ruining the musical, and this is proof of it. Oy vey.
