Animal Crack Box Sells For $2,425 Someone smoking crack bought Animal Collective's Crack Box test pressing for almost $2,500 on eBay. No worries: You still have five days to bid on Nick Cave's underwear.

Is it me or is it kind of in bad taste to say the buyer is smoking crack all because they basically donated $2500 to Doctors Without Borders, and are getting an Animal Collective vinyl test pressing for their reward?

Perhaps. Anyone certainly can just donate $2400 to charity at any time. It's fair to assume this was an accidental philanthropist who just NEEDED the Animal Collective swag. Even though it probably means less money for crack.

hey Stereogum: since you called this guy "crack smoker" for paying $2,425, I wonder how would you call me for paying £.01 for Radiohead "In Rainbows"

Catsup Paste announced that the winning bidder can't pay for it, and it's going back up on ebay soon.
