These covers are... surprisingly classy! Back in the 90's there were all sorts of cheesy ass "swing" versions of alternative rock, and they were mildly amusing I guess. But the arrangements on these covers are pretty sophisticated... far more than the "Lounge Against the Machine" crap that's been done before. Sure, there is still something inherently absurd about this record, but I got to admire the fact that the people making it seemed to take it fairly seriously.

I need to track down the Pet Shop Boys track.
