Speaking of state songs... does anyone remember the band Dambuilders? Their original idea was to write a song for every state. I guess the idea wore out quickly, but their first album sure gave it a good shot. Maybe some singles, too? I don't totally remember. Needless, it would make a neat mix CD idea.

It would be totally cool if someone wrote a whole album for every state.

"another day, another delaware" sounds like it's the new Sufjan Stevens album

McSwy's is so much more than a site of lists. I would encourage you to get with the modern age and read it daily.

Actually, John Linnell (the accordian playing half of They Might Be Giants) put out a "State Songs" cd a while back - pure silliness of course, but great.

Step, have you seen it out there? It's oppressively miserable in the northeast US right now. This post is laaaaaaay-zee for a reason.
