Apple Unveils Talking iPod Shuffle The latest advance in the iPod sized competitively with a Vicks throat lozenge is a VoiceOver function to tell you the song, artist and album currently playing (of course the Voice is the Hal2000 and will definitely butcher your Sigur Rós jams). Get acquainted at apple.com/ipodshuffle, or just learn to read and get one with a screen already.

Is it that hard to add a basic calculator style screen?

I am down with them pushing the boundaries and all, but i don't see these headphones holding up very well. Also, what if you don't like using the apple headphones? i happen to have other headphones I like to use, and I guess i will be forced to use the crappy buds with this new device...

Not sure there is a demand for the Hal2000, that just seems unnecessary.

Am I missing something? That is a player without controls. "They're on the earbud cord." Seriously, WTF?! So, either you use the shitty white earbuds or you're SOL? What if you want to plug it to a car stereo, or a hi-fi at a party? Oh, I got it. Apple's probably gonna release a $29 "adapter" dongle so people can use their players with other headphones. Because you know... Play/Pause, Volume Up, etc... those aren't features, those are optionals you have to pay extra for. Hooray for innovation!

Ok, you said 'this idea sucks.' If that is correct press, say yes, now. Great. I think you said 'why do I have to use your crappy ear buds.' If that is correct, say yes, now. Fantastic. If you didn't know what that moviefone girl looked like before watching this video, say yes, now. I'm sorry, I thought you said 'go fuck yourself' that is not a valid option. If you think I should go back to wasting your time while you are trying to pay your water bill, say yes, now.
