Arctic Monkeys Didn't Take Any Shit

On their most recent photo shoot, that is. Via Daily Record:

ARCTIC MONKEYS had a toilet nicked when they were working on the artwork for their new album.

Three unoccupied houses featured designs from a number of artists. The interiors were painted for the cover and everything was going according to plan until some local kids took a toilet from one of the houses.

Luckily the guys were in good form and found it funny.

A spokesman said: "The band hung out with the kids, signing guitars and stuff and having cups of tea with the neighbours."

Don't blame the young hooligans for their attempted shitty larceny; blame the bad example set by those toilet-profiteering hippies.

RELATED: We're sure the Monkeys won't have such crap luck at Glastonbury. Who's going?

i wish i was going to glastonbury--it would make up for getting locked out of the nyc arcade fire shows. also, i ain't gonna lie, i'd be pretty psyched to see bjork live. at least the seventeen-year-old me would be.

Band To Watch: Fredrik

Earlier this year we shined a light Swedish pop outfit the LK and their electro lovely, wintry gem "Stop Being Perfect." Had we known the band had a side project sooner, we probably would have written sooner. Instead, we came...

Quit Your Day Job: Megafaun

Raleigh-via-Eau Clair BTW Megafaun debuted impressively earlier this year with Bury The Square. The trio nip-and-tuck experimental tendencies (tape splicing, white noise colliding with banjo, junkyard-laced spring reverb, screeching feedback at the tail end of a quiet back porch lament)...

Premature Evaluation: of Montreal - Skeletal Lamping

Skeletal Lamping is anything but skeletal. When we took a close listen to album closer "Id Engager" we mentioned it wasn't the strangest, most ambitious, or best tune on of Montreal's new one, but after absorbing the other 14 tracks,...

Horse Feathers - "Father"

Portland songwriter Justin Ringle's evocative vocal twang and sharp lyricism are at the center of Horse Feathers' bedroom Americana. The band's second album House With No Home, which follows 2006's Words Are Dead, finds Ringle's vision fleshed out by multi-instrumentalist/composer...
