Bigmouths Strike Again: The Fear Of Beards Edition

In a recent interview about the state of society, this artist came clean about a conflicted bias against the bearded.

Even I get nervous when I see someone with one! If I don't know who that person is. It's true that some beards look a bit frightening. Some of these people, I know them, they look ferocious. The beard happens to give a masculine look, a more virile appearance, but what goes on behind it, well, I'm an example, if you listen to my music.
Make yer guess, take the jump.

I can't stand beards on most people. Very few can get away with it. I can handle the goatee thing on guys, but it can't be full. And yes, that's the rapper, not Cat Stevens... oops Yusaf Islam. What was he thinking, anyway?

Anyone who thinks that's Matisyahu is an idiot. It is very definately Yusuf Islam. If you had any doubt, the url for that very picture:

He looks nothing like Matisyahu--grey hair, older looking, big glasses. Beyond that, the headwear is not Jewish, I think. Correct me if I'm wrong on that.

Oops! My bad. The beard must have fooled me. See, if he didn't have that beard, I wouldn't have mistaken him for some rapper!

The drummer from Grandaddy had a ferocious beard. And he was always chain smoking whilst playing, I was always afraid that beard was gonna catch fire...

No, the headgear is not Hasidic or Orthodox, nor is the facial hair, or the head hair. Only the glasses would pass muster.
