Bigmouths Strike Again: Celebrity Underwear Edition

As this artist tells Life, a perfect world would shift the focus of fame from pantyless celbutards to ... this person's music.

"The notion of fame is such a distraction from what I do ... Stop producing magazines that publish pictures of celebrities jumping out of cars with no underwear on."
Guess the "big picture" crusader, then take the jump.

It's a distraction from what you do? What exactly do you DO, Mr. I-Write-Songs-For-Low-Self-Esteem-Fat-Girls?

james blunt... who moved to switzerland or something to avoid taxes. perhaps he wants us to avoid that in the media too.

I have to agree with Blunt here. People are so focused on what celebrities are doing in their personal lives that they're missing the point, which is of course the celeb's work. People like Paris Hilton who've become famous for nothing are taking away from other people that deserve fame for being great. That's what I took from what he said, and I assumed it was something you indie snobs could agree with.

No, Jamie, I think you're right. I think we've spent so much time gawk(er)ing at Britney's holiest of holies that we've lost focus a little bit. You're totally right.

It's time we get back on track and listen to James Blunt's tunes for what they really are.

I'm still unsure how celebrity undergarments are mucking up James Blunt's career. He seems to be doing ok. I wish I had money to hide in a Swiss Bank account.

All I know is that Britney's vagina has more artistic merit than that godawful record.
