Jared Leto is pretty much always my guess on these things. The law of averages as related to statements by pretentious pricks guarantees I'm right at least a third of the time.

Can someone please explain this, b/c I don't see how killing himself would help his music. Just because elliot smith and kurt cobain, and possibly nick drake, did it doesn't mean anything, since one of the guys from milli vanilli killed himself also, not that I'm comparing to 30 seconds to mars to milli vanilli, b/c at least the latter's songs were good even though weren't singing them. http://music.aol.com/sessions-under-cover/30-seconds-to-mars

you know, i am/was a big smashing pumpkins fan...but when i hear famous rock celebrities spouting off shit like this (i.e. pete wentz, brandon flowers, the douchebag from angels and airwaves), it makes me realize that corgan was far more influential as a big mouth than as a musician.
i suppose the gallagher brothers can take some credit for this, as well.

You guys may as well stop wasting your time trying to convince people to like something that they don't. I have tried this all my life with my father, he likes what he likes and is so close minded to anything new or different...it's just not worth it...Just go on loving what you love (By the way I Love 30 Seconds..not just because of Jared, But it helps...) So just let these people live in their little boxes and not experience music in the way that so many of us know how too...You know it's not always about the sound..I love to listen to the lyrics of a song and interpret them the way I want to..To me music is an escape from reality so sit back enjoy your music and forget about all those who choose not to!!!

Hahah, I think the problem is not with the "old" people, but with the so easily moulded young minds of the increasingly plastic 21st century.
It seems anyone can put on eyeliner leave there hair long in the front spend a few million on a music video and you all willingly line up and worship.
Don't you see that he is saying a chorus line over and over. That even before releasing his overly art directed and produced "masterpiece," he was primped and prodded by makeup artisits and producers, flown to China in first class, where he probably paid the extras about the amount they get for making a Nike shoe, to appear in his video.
Any pain this man appears to be in, is simulated by his own ego. I am pretty sure that he doesn't understand yours. Not to mention the fact that he probably has know idea about the rest of the world.
He went home to his million dollar mansion after preaching to you, the so easily converted. Sleeping soundly in the knowledge that he can cross "rockstar" off his list of things to before he releases his own Jarred line of shirts with slit rist marks on them and guest stars in the next world vision commercial. Just so we know he really cares.
Wakeup and support some local bands in your area who have no money and no support and who probably have something profound to say. God knows they will be closer to your "young" age.
