Blogging The Ameriquest Mortgage Superbowl XXXIX Halftime Show

From the desktop of your average American Superbowl viewer.

"AND NOW ... BUILDING BRIDGES ACROSS TIME AND AROUND THE WORLD ... I hope it's Kelly Clarkson! PAUL MCCARTNEY! Damn. I mean, darn. This is pretty lame. Where's his cock ring? He's not even lip synching. A Guns 'N Roses cover. RAWK. I like how he keeps saying 'Thank You Superbowl!' as if it were a city. Fireworks are cool. They should've brought Danger Mouse out for this one. Yay -- 'Hey Jude.' R.I.P. Julian Lennon. What, he's still alive? I hope they show the commercial with the monkeys again. Either one."

Here's some beatmixed Beatles that rivals anything by the GHP guys.
DJ Zebra - "Come Closer" (Beatles VS NIN)

What'd you guys think of the show/game/commercials?

Chimp commercials were good. FedEx w/Burt Reynolds and the bear was clever. Game was ugly.

which GnR song did he play?!

Live and Let Die (re: GnR song). It's actually a Paul McCartney and Wings song (1973) that was written for the 8th James Bond film.

Everybody here in Philadelphia is in a deep depression. It will last a lifetime and can't believe the way Reid managed the clock. At least the Hooters are big in Europe.

personally, i was a fan of the 2 ameriquest commercials (the one with the guy "holding up" the convenience store and the murdered cat one). the lot of us laughed through the entire next football segment after that one.

best part -- when Paul was singing "Hey Jude" and the audience spelled out the words "NA NA" with red, white and blue cards. Na Nas = BOOBIES! BOOBIES AT THE SUPERBOWL, AGAIN!

It was pointed out earlier, but come on, how can you take yourself seriously if you don't know that GnR actually covered the Paul McCartney written Live and Let Die. Next you will claim that Bob Dylan covers GnR's Knocking on Heaven's Door.

Oh, he was totally lip synching baby. Besides its being visibly obvious, he's ancient and never had all that much of a live voice anyway. So yeah, he was really rocking! The chair.

I'm more then convinced that both John Lennon and George Harrison are looking down from heaven and totally laughing at how "Hollywood" Paul has gotten.

He was lip-synching. He recorded it all a week or so ago at a Hollywood recording studio.

Did you notice how big the wind-screen in front of his mouth was?
