Ed Harcourt - "Born In The '70s"

From Ed's excellent new power-pop import Strangers.

Hilary and Ronald will cover it on their new CD Grill Skill: The Album.

Getting this CD was one of my perks while I'm over in Europe for work. This song actually isn't one of my favorites, but the whole album is really great.

Hillary: "Mine and Haylee's cover of "Our Lips are sealed"....is soooo rockin' you should hear my live version of "My Generation"....the way I do it is like soooo punk but I don't sing that that middle verse about dying when you get old cause that is like not really nice....I changed it to "like let's all go to the mall", cause that sounds so much more punk and so much more rockin,...Haylee and I are so punk she wears t-shirts by some band called the Ramones and I date Joel from Good Charlotte, and cover songs by bands that I don't even know....and I have press conferences with Ronald McDonald...like that is sooooo like a rock star....right Ronald?!!!

Ronald: "Hillary isn't that verse you were talking about that you changed in "My Generation" I hope I die before I get old?

Hillary: "How should I know, that song is like 100 years old or something"....Oh my gawd Ronald you are such a rock star!"

I'm bummed I couldn't open the video link!

Dude! I was going to write a song called "Born In The '70's," and this guy beat me to it. It's like he telepathically ripped off ideas from my brain, while my brain was just ripping it off from The Police. Careful around this Harcourt chap. He's a mind thief!

I'll have nightmares from this picture for sure. I hate clowns, actually feel some fear from the painted fuckers. Don't know why. I'm usually trying to figure the whys of things but I admit defeat on this one. It makes no sense. And the expression on his face! The Heart around them! The symbol of pentapodal mankind pointing towards Duff. Ick!!! Too Nabakov mixed with Cirque du Soleil.

Ronald, in that pic, looks like Hasselhoff's evil Irish twin.

This past week I saw Hillary and some wannabe punk dude (not sure if it was Joel Madden) at Starbucks on 57th street on my way to work. She and this guy (who looked as if he were about ten years older then she) were all over eachother. In person she kind of looks like one of those wishing trolls.
