Boy George Talks Trash Again
This time it's in a new Channel 4 documentary The Madness Of Boy George. The Guardian thinks Georgie comes off, oh, just a bit daft.
"Boy George flails around in a spiral of woe-is-me claims of persecution, seemingly unaware that the rough ride he receives might have something to do with his reflexive need to criticise others, an odd affectation which borders on celebrity Tourette's and makes Lily Allen, Charlotte Church and Elton John look like the Human League."The former pop star's latest bon mots, via Belfast Telegraph:
On Madonna: "I just think she's a vile, hideous, horrible human being with no redeeming qualities. There's nothing nice about her. I've never heard anyone say anything nice about her at all."Hear that, Robbie Williams? You need to class things up! Give this guy a call.On Robbie Williams: "He could use my help. The last album was terrible. He's at that point where he's just throwing anything out. He needs another 'Angels' or something really classy."
On Andrew LLoyd Webber: "[People] always go on about 'theatre is a dying art form and we must save it', and then we just put on another Andrew Lloyd Webber re-run. It's tragic."
On Elton John: (after a hotel lift failed on him): "Imagine if that was Elton John, the drama that would have ensued? David Furnish would be spitting feathers right now."

I think George used to be very funny and witty with his bitching, but I don't find these comments very clever. I'm all for bitching, if its witty, funny and clever, but there's nothing witty about saying someone is a hideous vile person.
