Well if that us true, then maybe in the future she will spare us all from more of her stupid "Letters of Truth." One can only hope.

do you think you're an artist?

Hahahahahahahahah! Because art-less is two words! Hahahahahahah! Sphincter!

Seriously, BritTwat can do whatever the fuck she wants because it's all for OUR ENTERTAINMENT. She can grind her rag-'ouisiana-ass down onto that vile hillbilly husband of hers all she wants. She's just one more spectacle of capitalist bad taste, and I'm havin' a ball watching it all fall to pieces.

"It will be expressed soley through art"

Does that mean she's retiring or that we won't hear any of it?

I didn't know brit was an artist. I thought she was an entertainer...and a bad one at that....

Haven't read Allure but my newspaper had a quote from it:

In her Allure interview, Spears speaks of studying kabbalah, which teaches "basic concepts of what the Bible says. You know, love yourself as you would love thy neighbor."

Uh-huh.

I get so sick of these fucking articles that pop up constantly about modern art. Stossel is an idiot. I took his miracle quiz and missed one that looked like a Thiebaud painting at 100px x 100px. He acts like he's brilliant with a modern art expose, when he just brings it all back to taxes?! What a waste of time.

I just don't understand why it can't qualify as art if it was executed by someone under 10 years old. Ageist twat.

haha i didn't get a single answer right on that quiz. The "non art" by the 4 year olds was a million times better than the "real art" !

How the fuck is art determined by age? It doesn't matter whether or not they're four, that shit is fucking good.

Screw whoever made that quiz. Seriously.

that quiz was bullshit. I find it hilarious that you can have a "wrong" answer. Who the fuck dictates what modern art is & isn't depending on age? i'm glad i didn't see his show last night, i'd probably be very irritated.
idiot.

I have a basic knowledge of art history and I aced that quiz.
Why is it so hip to show ones ignorance about art? Its like not knowing anything about physics and calling all those crazy equations stupid meaningless doodles or a language you don't understand ridiculous for sounding so funny. People talking shit just need to educate themselves on the history of art or shut up.
And no a four year old is not an artist! Believe me there is a difference take a class and it will become crystal clear.

Knowitall,

Aesthetically, I liked the 4 year old's work the best. To me, that's art. Whether or not that was the child's intention doesn't necesarrilly matter. She might not be an "artist", but I may certainly consider her so. That is the magic of the art and aesthetics.

In the same respect Brit Brit can call herself an artist, but that does not mean I agree.

I have to say I only missed 1 on the Quiz (I didn't know that salvation army finds could determine if something was art or not but o.k. -- its not fine art)...

I noticed that through simple observation about composition and color choices you could easilty identify the works of actual artists versus the 4 year olds. Those educated in art will do well I suspect.

Mrs. Federline is to the world of music art what those four year olds are to the world of fine art; insignifigant.

Krissi,
The only reason you can call the 4 year old's work "art" is because it mimics images that have been pioneered by real artists.
A hundred years ago the kids "work" would just be ignored. It took classically trained artist generations to break down representational picture making and give the world a new visual
vocabulary. Just because a 4 year old or a monkey or an elephant can make seemingly the same marks its not the same!

Wow! Who would have thought Brittney Spears could spark such conflict - what is art actually? Is it what each person perceives as beautiful or moving? Or is it so structured that we must be educated in art history to enjoy it? Can the scribblings of a 4 year old be considered "art" and therefore labled as such? I personally, think that the scribblings of my 2 year old are beautiful and proudly display them - does that make him an "artist"?
As for Brittney - Egads, girl - PLEASE GO AWAY!

The only reason I have such a stick up my butt about this, is that the art quiz made comparisons to famous
ground breaking artists whose hard work over the years have changed how we all look at art. The fact that we can cherish
the pictures of a 4-year old only proves the argument of what these artists have done to change the way we look at the world.
The guy that made my food at subway today calls himself a sandwich artist. I mean where do we draw the line?

I don't think there should be a "line" drawn or anything else - there's a lot of crap out there that's considered art and there's a lot of great stuff that's not considered at all. I can honestly say, since I did study actual ART in college and art history, that I don't think it's up to anyone to judge what is art and what is not. Those people that worked hard all their lives, breaking new ground and the like, wouldn't belittle any one else's efforts, no matter how terrible they might be.
