Britney Spears Is Country, Emotional Wreck

It's been a while since we've seen Britney Spears cry on TV. If that's the sort of thing you like to watch, set your Tivo to record NBC this Thursday. In an interview on Dateline, to be previewed on Today that morning, the former pop star reveals to Matt Lauer that she's "a good mom" and her marriage to what's-his-name is going "awesome." (Contrary to reports, she hasn't banished K-Fed to the basement).

NY Daily News quotes Brit Brit from the interview:

"[Kevin] helps me. He has to. I'm (an) emotional wreck right now ... I can't go anywhere without someone judging me. ... I did it with my dad. I'd sit on his lap and I drive. We're country."

And with that, here's some new Primal Scream ... "Country Girl."

i rode in the back of a pickup in a lawn chair as a kid, going up and down curvy mountains in the sticks while my parents smoked weed up front. just because i survived to tell about it doesn't mean it was a good idea.

The bully will stop picking on you if you act like what he is doing doesn't bother you. Country folk know the concept as reverse psychology y'all.

So she is saying that country people is just stupid enough to drive with a baby at driver seat.

Lame excuse!

Once again proving the philosophical truth that THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU GIVE A REDNECK 50 MILLION DOLLARS!! Same thing with Jessica Simpson. It's like some bizzare social experiment. How did you expect them to act? Intelligent and sophisticated? I can't believe anyone is surprised by anything these people do.

I almost choked when I read, "I did it with my dad. I'd sit on his lap and I drive. We're country.". I mean, double entendre anyone? Yeah, that sure is country Mrs. Spears. I wonder if her mom knows about all of this "Dad driving" stuff? Probably.

Hey People...what's up with all the "Hillbillie bashin"? I'm from the country, and i'm as "pleased as punch" bout that....besides that, she is the one that is worth Millions, so, what does that say about all of you snobby nosed city folk? Looks to me as though she is not so stupid after all......:)

If you are sick and tired of people making fun of you and talking bad about you in the tabloids......stop giving them reason to!! I don't think the low cut tank top wearin', short skirt that would fit a 5 year old, gum smackin', purple fingernail polish wearin, "country girl" realizes that. She is just giving everyone more than enough reason to have a feeding frenzy about her life and her actions. And as far as the "we deserve our privacy, and our respect" comment she made, maybe she doesn't realize that you have to earn peoples' respect, it's not just something that is your right, and it certainly isn't just because you are worth millions of dollars.........grow up!!

It is sad to see Britany now and how she has changed since she first appeared on the scene.....there was no hint of "country" when she is in pop videos....they are clean-filmed, precise, focused pieces of film and dance......to see her overweight, fingernail chipped, mascara smeared, nasty mess.....is something she is expressing to us what happens...when the wrong people come into your life......children are a gift and should be taken care of.....she is just not careful, as she should be......(i.e., the car incidents, curb incidents, etc.).......everyone makes mistakes but she is just being careless with them......and herself.....she is washed up as an entertainer......at 25.......

i do believe that anyone who is a huge celebrity, and expects privacy is an idiot. for celebrity's things cannot be normal. second if she had a wreck one of two things would have happened, 1. that baby would have been her personal airbag. 2. that baby would have become a flying object. both would result in the baby's death. and 25 years ago or more, people didnt drive like they do now, and now we have the education to keep our kids safe. if you cant protect your child you dont need to have them.
