Chinese Democracy Will Be Out In Time For Thanksgiving! Please insert turkey jokes where you see fit, we're too astonished to talk shit: As previously hypothesized, Chinese Democracy will indeed be at Best Buy stores nationwide on 11/23. You can fill in the blanks and learn about "the structure of Best Buy's sales week" at Billboard. Have a Dr. Pepper with your cranberry sauce and stuffing.

I seriously can't wait to see how this Dr. Pepper thing works out. I think it'd be great if Axl and DP had a joint ad campaign, but that would require Axl having a sense of humor, something he hasn't shown in a long while. That said, I am interested--if not excited--to hear the album.

I've heard this a few times before, I think Dr Pepper is safe. I will only believe this album is being released when I see it on the shelf in the shop. I love that Axl still thinks he's relevant to music, the only reason people are interested in this album is not for the music, but just for the joke it's become.

uh - the billboard article cites "sources close to the situation" but this post makes it seem like it's definitely gonna happen

Just to put things in perspective, I'm 29 years old. If we forget about the Spaghetti Incident, Guns N Roses haven't released an album since Use Your Illusion, Volumes I and II were released when I was in the 6th grade (I took two years of kindergarten). Kind of sad, Axl. Knibb High Football Rules!!!

That's one way to look at it, but Vashti Bunyan went over 35 years between albums, and "Lookaftering" was pretty great. Just have faith, my friend.

Yeah, but it's not the same... GN'R kept and kept and kept announcing release dates, and we even know the album title since 1999. I'm sure Vashti Bunyan disappeared from the music industry and then came back and surprised everybody with a brand new record. She didn't kept announcing release dates for the album during 15 years. I can think of a lot of examples like Vashti Bunyan... The Eagles (28 year gap between albums), Blondie (17 years between albums), etc... But I can't think of an example like "Chinese Democracy", lol.

Anyway, I'm really looking forward to the record. I will listen to it without thinking that it took what it took to be released. I will listen to the music, which I'm sure will be very good.
