Choosing Presidential Running Mates (If The Candidates Were Bands, And You Were A Concert Booker)

thumbnail icon: Choosing Presidential Running Mates (If The Candidates Were Bands, And You Were A Concert Booker)

You've stridently opined regarding what's rocking Obama's iPod. What about weightier issues, like, who should be rounding out his or McCain's ticket? It's still early in the Veepstakes -- even the politicos aren't close to a consensus -- so NPR is conducting a predictive poll in terms we can grasp: convert the candidates into representative bands, and then pick the perfect opening act to balance the bill. This is all obviously very politically scientific so think hard and don't screw up the polling data. Vote the rock at Carrie Brownstein's Monitor Mix blog.

last night in MSG, eddie tagged "Wishlist" with this:
"I wish I was vice president.
And Obama was president.
End all future war.
That's what a president is for."

so yeah, id vote for Obama/Vedder 08

To think voting for a president can actually stop a war is so naive and ridiculous. Just cause Vedder has been hanging out with Sean Penn doesn't make him a political genius.

Dude, I hope you're like, 60, because no one is supposed to be this cynical this early in the game.

I'd say Black Kids for President. Did you hear that they're playing at Santos on July 25th?

Book the one who's friends drink the most beer cause my club isn't a charity and I'll be too busy collecting at the door to listen to the music anyways.

God job Stereogum. You just wanted another excuse to see ten thousand replies of people arguing over the presidential race, didn't you? Well, let me help start things up.

Obama is awesome and anyone who thinks otherwise can go fuck their taints with a rusty screwdriver.

Barack will mess this country up worse than it is. McCain is not any better.

Its pretty careless of Rolling Stone to influence all these young people into thinking Barack can fix these problems. His policies are very vague and are based completely on hope and not reality. I can't believe my generation is falling head over heels for him. You are all fucking sheep who can't think for yourselves.
