Chuck Klosterman's Favorite Game

EW.com has a pop culture quiz for ya to comb through: Name That Hair Metal Band! (via Prefix) Ten '80s-band pictures -- with the faces censored and the hair puffed up. If you can guess this one, you won't have any problems.

Let us know if you get 'em all right! (Mostly so we can stop feeling embarrassed about it.)

Damn! The only one I got wrong was Cinderella. I can't believe I got Whitesnake (considering they never had the same lineup twice) and missed Cinderella.

Me and a few friends did this same type of quiz as a drinking game while watching VH1 Classic. I vomited later.

The one posted is quite easy. Cinderella can be recognized with Eric Brittingham and Tom Keifer's combo locks. The dead giveaway though is Fred Coury's curly poofs.

A challenge would be to figure out if anyone could recognize Sleez Beez, Love/Hate, or The Bulletboys.

Geez, I need to lay off the Metal Mania on VH1 Classic and my hair metal high school memories.

This quiz brought the metalheads at my studio out of the woodwork. I never knew how many there were..... Hilarious, thanx.

klostermans final four blog on espn.com was excellent throughout the weekend. If you're a college bball fan I'd recommend reading it.

9 out of 11! For a former Debbie Gibson fan I should not have done that well.

That was absurdly easy. Would have gotten them all even if it were not multiple choice...

Where did you headbangers find an eleventh picture? The photo in this Stereogum post is included in the quiz. The quiz has eleven pages, but the first one is a cover page, if you will.

I got 8 or 9 out of 10, but I guessed on almost all of them.

They could've put in a trick question by including a current picture of the Donnas.

About 5 years ago I sold a computer to Tom Keifer of Cinderella. He came into my Gateway store wearing sweatpants and a T-shirt of his own band.

Ironically, Cinderella was the only picture I didn't get correct.

I got them all, but I too am old. Skid Row threw me for a bit because they had 'Bas sitting on the ground instead of in the center of the photo on the chair.

Dude, either the quiz was too easy or I know too much about metal. I didn't even have MTV as a kid. How and why do I know these? And why do I know who the Bulletboys and Sleez Beez are? Oh well, gotta get back to my Meliah Rage CD....

I can't believe that I didn't get one right. Actually, I can. My 1980s musical knowledge doesn't extend beyond The Smiths... that probably explains it.

11/11.

I was born of metal and most of my clues were based upon types of chest hair.

Also, I was a little disappointed not to see Savatage.

People need to stop pretending the Gutter Ballet never happened because it did. And it happened hard. I danced it.
