Still not loving this list. Band Of Horses and Meat Puppets... maybe. But I cannot be held responsible for rude behavior toward Deerhunter, since Cox refuses to be held responsible for his.

For some reason you seem to have left off Rock Plaza Central, who is definitely on the CMJ list you linked to. In anycase it seems to be shaping up to be a good week.

DwD you are not any fun. Party pooper. Ewww, look at you, you're sooooo bored! If this list doesn't rev something in you, you need to find a new, less amazing blog to read. Matt, cheer the hell up.

Quit Your Day Job: Megafaun

Raleigh-via-Eau Clair BTW Megafaun debuted impressively earlier this year with Bury The Square. The trio nip-and-tuck experimental tendencies (tape splicing, white noise colliding with banjo, junkyard-laced spring reverb, screeching feedback at the tail end of a quiet back porch lament)...

Horse Feathers - "Father"

Portland songwriter Justin Ringle's evocative vocal twang and sharp lyricism are at the center of Horse Feathers' bedroom Americana. The band's second album House With No Home, which follows 2006's Words Are Dead, finds Ringle's vision fleshed out by multi-instrumentalist/composer...
