CMJ Friday and Saturday

Hey y'all.... this is my first CMJ, and I'm not sure what to expect. How early do I need to show up for most shows? Will everything be mobbed?

Also, I'm not entirely sure what I'm going to end up seeing tonight and tomorrow. Tomorrow especially, since there's 14 hours of music happening.

Can anybody help a Jedda out?

description might help:
Riviera was founded in the thriving Chicago music scene in 2000. Through personnel changes and musical shifts, the band has created a sound that is grounded in American folk and rock with electronic overtones and feedback.

Jed, homey, you're posts have waaayyy to many "I this" and "I that"s.

Scott, get this guy a lesson in blogging, or for that matter, writing for an audience in general. This site is looking amatuer these days.

hey jed managed to post without making an offhand dickhole comment directed at Colin Meloy. Turns out he has never been to CMJ before because last year he was listening to Dave Matthews like all his frat bros, but now that doesn't pull in the chicks he got edgy by getting Death Cab at the Itunes Music Store. What next... Perhaps he might go all rock and roll and get some Clap Your Hands Say Yeah! Look out New York!

Is Air Supply at B.B. King's Blues Club & Grill part of CMJ too? Got to hit that!

Hey Macky: "I" think you should learn the difference between "you're" and "your" or "to" and "too" before you call someone else an amateur.

"I" know it's tough to keep up with basic English, with it changing every other century or so, and "I'm" sure you're (not your) too (not to) busy coming up with blogging lesson plans. When you're (not your) done with the syllabus, I'm sure Jed would love to check it out.

Until then why don't you chill out.

you'll want to check out Shawn Amos - @ 7PM @the Living Room. We got a copy of his cd sent to Earvolution and he's quite good.

why does someone always answer for someone else on this blog... Ex: Macky makes a critique of Jed's blogging skills and then Topher replies... Who the fuck is who? is jed topher and scott xed and shit shinola.... fucking weird stuff... and quit using y'all that's an expression reserved for us Southern people not new yorkers....

Ghosty. I'm not sure when they're playing (I might be posting this too late), but they're from Lawrence, KS, and they're fucking spectacular.

I'll say it again a few times so it sticks:

Ghosty. Ghosty. GHOSTY.

Honestly, if you don't catch Aberdeen City at CB's Gallery at 9:00 on Saturday, you're missing one of the best live bands at the festival. For real.

Actually that sounds pretty unpleasant. I'm not sure why you'd think that would be anyone's fantasy. But hey, follow your heart, Yale, I won't judge you.
