Yeah, I'm pretty unimpressed, esp. when compared with last year (RHead, Pixies, Lips, Krafty, etc.). While it's a decent lineup overall(esp. w/NIN included, who is AMAZING live), I'm staying at home on the East Coast this time around, and seeing bands like Arcade Fire, Bloc Party and Doves (hopefully) when they hit my hometown.

What a steaming pile of shit this lineup is. I can't ever imagine standing in the 100º heat to see NIN. Couple that with over-rated histers like Snow Patrol and Tegan and Sarah, and it's a recipe for distress.

Coachella has officially lost it.

New Order, NIN, Prodigy, Cockteau Twins, Gang of Four, Chem Bros, Mercury Rev? I like a lot of those, but there are definitely FAR too many old-timers playing this year. I thought caochella was supposed to be the cutting edge spotlight. Half this lineup looks like it's circa '91.

i still haven't gotten over nine inch nails. i'm not obsessed like i was at 14, but i still like 'em. i'm only 19, though. i still have "teen angst". and apparently trent does, too!

i will se them here in baltimore/dc and i will go there and see them....i love the line-up (of course it can always be better, naysayers...but show me a better festival in the USA?) and the festival is top notch...who cares if it is 100 degrees...keeps the naysayers away...

saw The bravery on friday and The Arcade fire last night...both great great shows

um well, bauhaus may be interesting. Peter Murphy's voice is rad. But, they're day is from the late 70's. What next? Talking Heads? I don't know. That one may be worth seeing. I'm jaded though. I am so over these Music festivals anyway. They need to go away and then in 5 years come back again. and BETTER

um, the 100* heat actually isn't _that_ bad. besides, who's lookin' good at a music festival like this? please....
but agreed, the lineup is not as good as last year, imo. not to mention, half of the bands you'll want to see will be playing at the same time anyway... such is the way of the two-day festival.

I actually think this lineup is pretty good. With the exception of Radiohead, Kraftwork etc. most of the bands last year toured and were readily available to see (Depending where you live of course).

NIN, New Order, Cocteau Twins...yeah I guess its real "old timers like" but balance that with The Bravery, Arcade Fire, Boom Bip and Bloc Party not to mention other rising acts...thats a pretty nice blend to me.

But to those who says it sucks...I guess you maybe right since all the hotels in INDIO were already sold out before the line up was announced.

i like rilo kiley a whole fucking lot, and if you like rilo kiley that comes with bright eyes and eisley, and wilco and keane and the blood brothers and prodigy. i guess if youre at coachella the point is to see a few bands, you dont have to have an interest in all of them.

Give them a break. You can't get much better than last year's lineup. This year it's all about New Order. Just to see part of what used to be Joy Division is almost worth the hassle of getting there. Bauhaus, Chemical Brothers,and Nine Inch Nails are great too.(Even though I would have prefered to see Skinny Puppy instead of NIN)
