"Fire It Up" And Exercise Your Right To Vote For The Best Modest Mouse Video

The drop box is closed, submissions are in, and it's time to turn the reins of this thing over to you guys. The Stereogum Presents: Another Freakin' Green Screen Contest (Starring Modest Mouse) netted ten entries from Modest die hards with video know how, and it's time for them to be judged by a jury of their rather-snarky-but-hey-we-love-each-other-don't-we peers (i.e. YOU, anon231). To cast your vote click here. Hope you feel like listening to a lot of "Fire It Up"! It'll be more fun that way.

I don't know how the pug video isn't in the lead. The others were pretty terrible.

can you win a green screen contest if you don't use the green screen footage at all?

To be fair. the footage sucked. I downloaded the shots and they were so compressed you couldn't get a good key. And everything had track points everywhere so even if you had a good key you would have to do a lot of masking. The whole thing was poorly planned for an amateur green screen contest. In my opinion anyway.

Actually, this was very well planned for an amateur green screen contest. You're right about the key points ... we didn't realize that would be an issue, but it's not like we had any control over it. As you can tell too, the band is REALLY into it. ;)

i liked the one by MatBitesDog, but the beginings pretty bad.
But if you watch like, 2:00 minutes it in gets really trippy and really cool.

i was expecting a lot more. i'm voting for the one with the pug, although the trippy one by MatBitesDog was cool as well. but for a 4 minute long song, it can get a bit boring. and also, you can never go wrong with a pug setting things on fire (what a sad ending)

MattBitesDog looks like some shite background video projection from a gradeschool rave.

i'm intrigued by this pug one, but can't seem to find it. which user submitted that one? i don't have the patience to sit through that song so many times, so help a dog lover out. pug + firestarter? sounds rad.

I think the pug ones by TheDavidNaylor.
its main screen has a picture of Issac Brooks infront of a sort of green fire type thing.

Quit Your Day Job: Ungdomskulen

Premature Evaluation: Beck - Modern Guilt
