Dave Matthews Band Prep Spring Album, Tour • The group's first studio LP since 2005's Stand Up comes out 4/14, and they'll support with a spring tour that kicks off at Madison Square Garden that night. The still untitled album will be produced by Rob Cavallo, who helmed most of Green Day's discography, and will be DMB's first without saxophonist LeRoi Moore, who passed away in August. I'm not afraid to admit that I'm excited by this. I've been a DMB fan since high school and have a soft spot in my heart for them still.
I'm sure all the indie snobs will come out and bash the band, but anyone that bashes them has most likely never seen them live. Whether you like their music or not, they are one of the talented group of musicians in the world.

"everyday" is one of my favourite albums of all time. and i thought "some devil" was incredible. i'm more than willing to admit that i'm a fan, and that i'm happy they're working on new things.

It does seem to be, but I really don't understand why. I'm with massromantic; it's an excellent album. I think I Did It, When The World Ends, Angel, The Space Between and What You Are are all excellent songs, and the rest are very good.

I'm a huge fan of DMB so very excited about this! Really hope the album is better than their last, which I'm confident it will be. One of the best live bands in the world too - shame there aren't a few more dates - won't be able to make any of these.

I'll be interested to hear how it sounds with out LeRoi. I haven't heard anything about whether they were going to replace him or not. Whatever the case, I'm hopeful for something better than the last two albums.
