I wish there was a zip of the entire show. Each file zipped? what a pain in the ass.

The zipping is kinda lame, but at least you get the choice of what songs to download - I have no use for weak recordings of oldies, so it's nice to cherry pick the new tunes. However, what's up with "House of Cards" and "Spooks" - those two are all effed up.

just get the mp3s here: http://www.sandiegoserenade.com

and it does almost make up for no tickets. it's relaxing to sit down and put on "4 minute warning". man.

I'm glad they're still playing songs from "The Bends"

Oh my God. "Nudes"! Are they finally putting "Big Ideas (Don't Get Any)" on an album? That would be amazing (I've been waiting so long).

I like the new stuff. What I don't like, however, is the fact that I was able to draw a reference point for Radiohead. I immediately thought Talk Heads.

Well, Radiohead DID get their name from the Talking Heads song "Radio Head."

What do you guys think of the new stuff? After a couple of listens I'm absolutely loving "15 Step" and "4 Minute Warning." "Bangers and Mash"'s groove also seems to have grabbed ahold of me.

I know how they got their name. Especially since that song is kinda ska-ish and Radiohead started out as a ska band. I'm only saying that this is the first time in a long time that I heard a Radiohead song and almost immediately cited another band.

The song in question is "Bangers ans Mash."

Oh, and I meant "Nude" in my first comment. I was thinking of the Rites of Spring song. But still, "Big Ideas (Don't Get Any)" is going to get recorded. Freak out!

"nude" was recorded already for the new CD. supposedly it has a gorgeous string section, according to one of the band members.

personally, there isn't a new song i don't like. i wish a high-quality, full-band version of "arpeggi" finds its way around, since it's a great song.

i remember hearing the live stuff from kid a/amnesiac in 2000 and 2001 and not being impressed before the album, and then i ended up like the material once i got the CD. since i already love these new songs, i'm hoping the recorded versions will be even more spectacular.

Not great, but good enough for now. They play another show tonight so hopefully we'll get better quality boots and more new songs.

Sounds like the handclap rhythm in 15 Step was a tad bit too complicated for the audience.
