Grizzly Bear Meets Julia Allison

thubmnail icon: Grizzly Bear Meets Julia Allison

Over the weekend, e-newsletter Thrillist sent 150 media folks to Las Vegas to drink and Twitter about their hangovers. Grizzly Bear's Ed Droste tagged along, and wrote about his Sin City weekend with the digerati for his friends at Refinery29. A ritual burial in Blue Terra Chips was his sad initiation into the sordid Dentonverse. Highlights:

  • "There is somebody named Julia Allison that dates a lot of 'new digital media' men and is famous for something I can't recall. She lost her hard drive recently. Random."
  • "There is a hot new thing called Twittering in which you take texting to the next level and essentially send it to everyone you know and strangers! Many times a day! Forever!"
  • "People got laid in Vegas. Not me."
  • "Be careful what you're texting or looking at on your iPhone/Blackberry because someone from Gawker may be peeping over your shoulder waiting for the chance to laugh at you."

Nothing good can come of this. Except maybe a Grizzly Twitter. Which Amrit will follow, since I don't use Twitter. Read the rest of Ed's Refinery post here.

Grizzly Bear will perform a new song on Letterman 7/2. Set Tivos!

julia Allison is basically digital "high class" call girl, I like Ed moe knowing he had no clue who she was, funny post, yet also scary
