Flea Really Hates The Internet Now

First they leak Stadium Arcadium, then they whine that RHCP ripped off Tom Petty, now Internet predators are going after the fans. From redhotchilipeppers.com:

It has come our attention that an unauthorized site is offering free tickets to the Red Hot Chili Peppers 2006 Summer Tour in consideration for the completion of a brief survey. That survey requests personal information, including your social security number. Please note that the Red Hot Chili Peppers have not authorized this site nor will we ever ask for your personal information.
Also, if you get an e-mail from Dr. Clement Okon promising a cut of funds trapped in Nigera, don't respond! He totally doesn't have Sleater-Kinney tickets.

Did I ever tell that story about how I have Jennifer Lopez's social security number? I probably shouldn't admit that. Don't worry Jenny, I won't do anything with it.

fans would be stupid to provide that information in hopes of free tickets anyways.

I like to get my tickets the old fashioned way, by applying for an American Express card, kidding....

Wait, so I'm *not* getting free Sleater-Kinney tickets? This is an outrage, I'm sure the band are behind it!

free tickets or not, can't beat the 27.9% fixed APR and limited edition Music For Robots mastercard.

His name isn't really Michael Peter Balzary, you know. It's Flea. I looked it up on the internet.

Ugh, they've become puppets of the RIAA. You'd think the band that used to play shows naked would be a little more open.

It's too bad that bands complain about change instead of using that energy to help innovate and stay ahead of the curve. It's not the Chili Peppers, it's all these huge bands. They're out of touch.

Of course, everyone on this site knows that, so why am I here telling you people the obvious? Oh well.
