Franz Ferdinand Daft Punk Remix

Found it! Phew -- now I don't have to go all the way to France to buy the 12". If anyone's got that Talking Heads/FF mash-up please e-mail me. The IDC link doesn't work.

UPDATE: Daft Punk remix = boring!

At 1.9 MB that MP3 can't be too hi-quality.

Yeah, it's not. I like this and that makes me sad. I demand higher quality.

As for the IDC mashup, it's not that great. I had a copy around here somewhere but it's apparently AWOL. Sorry :-/

There's always these:

The Naum Gabo remix, available on both the US 12" as well as the 12" with the Daft Punk remix, is underrated. It does wonderful things with the background aahs. For a clip, go to http://www.juno.co.uk/IP/IF151618-01.htm

Oh my gosh, it's got Hoover noises! Judge Jules could play it in his sets.

I guess it would be good with a bunch of ecstasy.

The DP remix of "Take Me Out" ranks as one of the biggest musical disappointments of the year for me. The first time I heard it, I didn't believe it was the real thing because it was such a snoozer, but then I heard it on a UK mix show and sure enough--yawn city.

Maybe it's better when it's really loud, though.

I've been having doubts about Daft Punk's forthcoming album ever since I read that Bangalter had quit DJing due to hearing problems. [Source: http://roule.s5.com/news.htm ]

This remix fills me with even more dread.

It's making my head feel like it's exploding. I kind of like it.

Is this remix a joke? Holy shit it's bad. To play devil's advocate, maybe it's an Aphex-style take-the-piss remix. Then again, for a group who make a new album every 4 to 5 years, this is a fucking shame. Frustrating shit.

one of the greatest songs ever does not need a remix anyhow, so stop nagging...
i think it´s not that bad, and it´s not as blashphemic as other remixes...

Why is there a teapot boiling over in the background?

what you have to undestand is Daft Punk are innovators which means they are trying new and different things most of the time. Has a remix ever been done like that before? certainly not. as long as they take new paths and throw new ideas at us, i have no complaints, just respect their innovative talents.

Wow... it's true. That's most likely the WORST professional remix i have heard in my life. Daft Punk? WHAT TEH HELL WERE YOU THINKING. All they did was change a few words around and put static in the background...

Normally I like Daft Punk, but this remix just plain sucks. It could have been way better...especially for one of the best bands of the year.
