Fred Durst: "I Am Addicted To Making Playlists"

Now on iTunes...

fred durst's wee hours of the morning and mental note
"these are just some songs i threw together for a night of listening pleasure in my hotel room while in london. it's a little all over the place, but who cares? i go through different varieties of music depending on which mood i am in. a lot of time my 'sense memory' plays a big part of what my soul needs musically. these songs each have their own reason for being in my playlist, but they all take me to a certain place mentally that is very similar." - fred

You can launch the playlist here. It's only $31.68 to get inside Fred Durst's head. (Beware: Billy Squier lives there.)

Delays song is from the Rough Trade 25 Anniversary covers CD. Also includes Royal City covering The Strokes and Adam Green covering Young Marble Giants. Very cool!

Hey - if it stops Durst from recording music then I hope the old chap continues to make those playlists.

thank you for posting that ... i couldn't bring myself to do it when I saw it last week. mainly because the playlist is alarmingly similar to something that i would make if Apple asked me for a celebrity playlist. i'm not sure what that says about me, but it's probably enough to warrant a swandive off the nearest roof! DURST!

Quit Your Day Job: Ungdomskulen

The Bergen trio Ungdomskulen play proggy post punk, mixing chops and hooks with a sense of humor. But they don't sound like Primus. When I was in Norway a couple years ago, "Ungdomskulen" seemed to be on everybody's lips (or...

Premature Evaluation: Beck - Modern Guilt
