Gum Drop Giveaway: Hear Luke Temple, Win A Guitar

This weeks drop of 'Gum followed folkie Luke Temple into the bedroom of his Brooklyn apartment for an intimate, antique, barber-shop harmonized, home-recorded gem, "Into Fiction." Its a.m. vibe pairs it nicely with Phosphorescent's "Little Boxes," but it's also more than enough on it's own. Temple recently released his sophomore album Snowbeast on Mill Pond -- peep the lovely, near falsetto "Family Vacation" for a sample -- but he wrote and taped "Into Fiction" specifically for Stereogum. You can hear it here.

And why just listen when you can also strum along? Guitar Hero's one thing, but if South Park's taught us anything it's that video games are no substitute for old-school rocking. Anyhow, this week, courtesy of Fox Searchlight, one shredding reader can win a Gibson Les Paul Studio guitar. Think we're kidding? This is what it looks like (minus the floating logos):

It's tied into the movie Juno, which opens in selected theaters on 12/14. In the film, Jason Bateman’s character “Mark Loring” owns a Gibson Les Paul (it's not a Studio, it's a Goldtop Standard, but still), and he and the title character "Juno" (Ellen Page) rock out. You can spot the axe, along with Michael Cera, Jennifer Garner, Rainn Wilson, and a host of others in this here trailer.

For more on the film enter the Junoverse. And, if you want some more deets on the guitar, head over to Gibson. Finally, in order to enter the contest click right ... here.

CONTEST ENDS 12/12/07 AT 12PM EST.
