Ahh! I missed the Gorillaz! Definately a great band. I even named my bass after Murdoc. Because he is the best. Great song, and whoever is contimplating buying the cd.... do it. This has been bugging me since the track (Feel Good Inc.) was released.
The chorus ("windmill, windmill...") sounds so familiar in terms of music. It sounds very similar to another song, an older ballad or love song maybe?
I have asked everyone I know to listen and analyze. Everyone recognizes the similarities to something they have heard before, but can't pin-point it.

Thanks for the mp3 download at inmyheadphones...took a while to actually find it on the page, but I did. My girlfriend and I have both become hooked on this song after we watched the video for it on Yahoo's music video section the other day. Feel Good Inc is DRIVING ME INSANE because it sounds similar to another song, relatively new that I can't remember. It was sort of a ska-ish type band I think, lyrics like "take some time to get to know me....if you don't you'll...something something" had the SAME EXACT time and beat and the bass line is what is so similar between the two. Dude-to all the people who say that The Gorillaz are ripping off other bands-that's the WHOLE POINT. In an interview, the creators said they specifically took elements of other bands and blended them together to create songs. Everyone thinks Tarantino is a great director (he is) but he rips off samurai, kung fu, and sometimes, even his own movies when he makes them. So, stop whining and appreciate The Gorillaz, 'cause they KICK ASS.

Feel Good Inc. sounds good but the only problem is that some people don't understand what it really means. The meaning behind the words actually makes the song awesome. So it is a good song overall.
It actually stands for the people trapped in a controlled and unescapable environment that makes everyone happy but only 2D wants something more. He wants freedom to roam. Basically it represents life. We all have lived in a controlled environment with our parents but when we got our cars and money and places of our own, that's our freedom. They refer it to life itself.
And yes that was Noodle on the Island with the windmill. She represented freedom to do what she wanted. As far as the hellicopters go, one can only assume that they meant to catch the freedom and bring it to the controlled environment. I figured it wouldn't make sense to you. Oh well, enjoy.

I totally agree that 'Feel Good' sounds like a song by "Cake". At the time I didn't know the name of the band that recorded it, so I was convinced it had to be a "Cake" song. I was feeling irie that "Cake" put out new material but naw, found out it was by "Gorillaz" whom I never heard of then. Got to hear some of their stuff and they're cool too but I looove my "Cake".

OMG! I know no one has been here in a while, but I was reading all of the note on here and have come 2 a conclusion that probably won't make ANYONE happy: you'r all idiots. 1)Of course thats Noodle on the floating island!2)The helicopters ARE chasing her, and as you can see in the EL MANANA video, they bring her down.This is also where she disappers. 3)The band is not made up of the 4 animated characters!Several people make up what is Noodle,2D,Russel, and Murdoc.The voices, insruments, and singing vioces are all different people.
There are several other things I want 2 say, but I can't grip them in my head.(Sorry if I seem harsh,but it's all true)Next time,please, know what ur saying before u say it.
