How Did You Know I Have An iPod?

Catching up with Vanilla Ice:

Washington, D.C.: I understand that you have both a pet kangaroo and a lynx. Where did you get such exotic pets?

Vanilla Ice: Ya, it's funny how people found out -- my kangaroo got loose. It was on CNN and I was in London at the time. I have a goat, too. The goat pushed the gate open with his head and they both got out and ran around. And the goat and the kangaroo never parted. The whole entire time.

He also insists NO Suge Knight did NOT dangle him from a balcony. He was just very firm with him. And, answering the question, "What's on your iPod?", 'nilla says:
As far as my iPod. I still listen to the old school hip hop, but 50s music, Ludicris and Paul Wall, a lot of that stuff. I listen to Rage Against the Machine, Slipknot and other hardcore stuff. It's all mood. If I'm racing motocross I listen to slipknot or System of a Down. I love Jay-Z and NAS and Jadakiss and stuff like that.

How did you know I have an iPod[?]

Yeah, really. It would have been way better if someone asked what was on his Commodore Evic. (Thanks to Ezra for the link!)

Also, Coldplay broke up. Or not. Write your own five-years-from-now "Catching up with..." Q&A for Chris Martin in the comments.

I like how his concept of time seems to be completely out of wack: "You also had the New Kids and the Backstreet Boys and I was thrown by the image that was created around me into being a novelty act and it took the credibility away from me."

Wha?

"I was influenced by the same musicians as other rap artists, so there is no difference expect the visuals."

And the fact that he really was pretty terrible as far as hip-hop goes. Anyone hear the dancehall track on his first album? Hilarious.

Still, nothing's funnier than Hammer dissing A Tribe Called Quest and Redman in 1994. Kinda like Ed Wood shit-talking David Lynch.

When did a "break" become a "break-up"? Oh yeah, when my girlfriend went on a "break" from me last year and is still with the same new guy.

Anyway, I think Chris Martin is less deceptive than her. No way are they broken up. They'll be back. Everyone's allowed some time off, right?

I want the Juggalos to beat up Vanilla Ice but that will never happen as long as he keeps making whatever the hell he's making now and claiming he listens to Ludacris and Slipknot.

Hilarious. Coldplayed out? I heard the news earlier and assembled a few of Mr. Paltrow's more tellingly insecure quotes and rants. Perhaps we should have seen this coming...

MTV-2011: So Chris, lets start by talking about your solo work, initially it wasn't as well recieved by fans or the press as you might have hoped.

CM: No... you're right.

MTV-2011: why was that?

CM: well, I don't think people were totally ready for an album of electro-folk Big Star cover versions played on the glockenspiel.

MTV-2011: it was also shit, wasn't it?

CM:umm... yeah. yeah it was.

MTV-2011: and the album of anti-globalisation love songs recorded with Uzbekistani refugees?

CM: yeah... that was pretty awful too.

Coldplay's breaking up? Could it be Chris Martin's doing something intelligent for once?

Chris Martin is a huge jerk who thinks he's too cool for the press. He's actually not good looking at all and even though he may write kick ass music, he still sucks balls as a human being.
