Hi Scott. We saw Kill Bill 1 last night. I don't understand why they killed Uma Thurmond's wedding party. She said Bill killed 9 innocent people. If she was an assassin, how innocent could she be? Love, Mom

That's adorable. And a good point. I guess it's funny...we so readily accept The Bride as our protagonist that we don't see anything wrong with her calling herself "innocent," even though, like Bill, she's an assassin.
Oh, wait. We don't really find out she was an assassin before the wedding until Kill Bill Part 2. Nevermind.

I'm totally geeking out here, so forgive me. The Bride wasn't killed, therefore she's not included in the nine that died. Hence, nine innocent people were killed (the groom, the minister, his wife, the organ player, the best man, his girlfriend and The Bride's maid of honor, and her two friends from work) and the tenth (the Bride) survived.

Oooh, I need to suggest this to my mom. My mom will ask me questions during the movie. Email would protect the sanctity of the movie going experience.
