Inside The Rockers Studio: Architecture In Helsinki, Takka Takka

This fall, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah are joining forces with Aussies Architecture in Helsinki and Brooklyn buzz band Takka Takka for a month-long trek brought to you by the word "blog." Expect this to be the tour that launches a thousand posts.

If you haven't seen the circus that is AiH, brace yourself for dreads, evening dresses, track shorts, and some of the finest in twee-electronica-Ritalin rock. In Case We Die was a Stereogum favorite and last we saw 'em, the new tunes seemed up to snuff.

Be allured by these relative veterans, but be sure to use the show for a first glimpse at the Takkas, straight outta Brooklyn with a promising debut and charming live set. Check out the title track:

The four-to-the-floor kick, organ, and tamborine may make you Say Yeah, but Gabe's conversational baritone is more Lou Reed than it is Ounsworth, and later instances of bar room basslines and indie country give 'em a home of their own. (And judging by their Rockers Studio responses, they laugh a lot at band practice.)

As for Architecture, we got all of 'em (!) to pass along their quips. Not as difficult as it may seem, 'cause now there's "only" six members -- but it's okay to be impressed. Like we said, the Clap are on this tour, too -- but they were too busy recording the sequel to answer our stupid questions. Get your dates here.
